Worst ten minutes Tennessee/Texas Tech second half I can remember

Flush this one and move on to the next one, Coach Barnes can't shoot it for them!

Good to know our defense can cover for us when we have a bad (epically bad) shooting night - the play that epitomized the night for me was open-court lay-up/dunk (whatever the hell it was) attempt by JJJ.

GBO!!!
That miss dunk/layup from JJJ was the weirdest thing I have ever seen in a game. He made up for it in a 3 pointer. That will stick with him awhile.

I agree with all the points made thus far. It's got to be the worse offensive basketball stretch I have ever seen. I don't think I will ever see another like it, because I will flip channels. I had to witness it last night because I was in a bar and started drinking heavily....Bourbon Neat.

However, another game to learn and reevaluate.

The season is young and nowhere to go but up from this.

Crap happens...it did....move on and put this game in the past.

The players are more than experiencing the same thoughts that we are about last night.

I don't expect this to happen again.....

Obviously never saw games in the era when UT spent many (not all) years wandering in the basketball wilderness.

Yeah, Really never seen anything like this with a good team of shooters at least when Kevin O'neil was here we knew we would pass it around and sometimes not even get a shot off. Breaking 50 was a good O showing and 60 was a breakout game. Usually, after a close loss, the convo goes in 1 of these 3 directions if we just hit all our foul shots or if we could just get to 30% on three's, or if we hit all our layups and rim shots.
This game was the trifecta of bad shooting.

Seriously, what will it take to make the necessary changes where you don't have to see Pat Adams and Doug Sirmons ever again? I seriously wonder what is said behind closed doors while coaches watch film and whether they privately complain. The charge call on Chandler was absolutely pathetic and an easy call from behind.

I often wonder if they replay the games and are graded by their bosses or they just do a drive-by eye test and word of mouth. I know I've been on UK's board and they have a running list of every game and who the refs were. They highlighted who has reffed the most of their losses, foul count, etc.

JJJ slipped on a wet spot. There could have been condensation from the Ranger’s ice under the basketball court or maybe they missed a spot mopping up sweat.

No arena sets up a basketball court on top of an ice rink. Yes, they use the same space, but it's not like the Rangers' flooring and a layer of ice are preserved underneath bball hardwood - each respective flooring is completely independent of the other and are not stacked on top of each other.

Point is there was a wet spot on the court that caused JJJ to slip and not convert an easy 2 points.

I agree he slipped, but I'm not convinced it was a wet spot, though it very well may have been. Unfortunately, James isn't getting the benefit of the doubt from me, personally. I think it was mental and he just botched his leg plant. Either way, glad he seems like he's OK, and good for him on making the late 3 pointer in regulation to give us a chance in OT.

It was a wet spot that he slipped on. One of his immediate family members told me that.

Ironic that Stephen Curry set the 3-point record in the same building that nobody could make a basket in a week earlier.
