Worst Vols team in History?

How bad would we be if Dooley hasn't been fired? It's very obvious none of these players were being progressively coached. Dooley ran this program into the ground way harder than Kiffin ever thought about doing.

I agree 100% with this.

We look bad now, but I wouldn't be surprised if we were 1-4 or 2-3 if Dooley were still coach. Also, pretty much every successful major turn-around job in the history of college football has involved a lot of bumps, particularly in Year 1. Our guys have been "coached down" for 3 years now under a completely incompetent staff. Can't expect miracles overnight.

Some of those teams from the late 70s and early 80s were pretty bad. We are not terrible, we just need to get a lot more production from the QB position. I think the defense is very much improved from last year.

I hate this phrase more than any other I hear on a regular basis, but it's the only applicable one I can think of for our current situation: It is what it is.

The train has left the station for the season; it's going to go where it goes no matter how much pissing into the wind we do here. Whether you think we're on the right track or you're busy dousing everything orange that you own in kerosene, post up and try to enjoy yourselves.

I'm not happy with how things are going at all this season, but the season is still as young as the team that's playing it. There's plenty of time for things to happen. I don't believe it will be the worst team in school history but I'm still stocking up on Pepto Bismol and cheap liquor for the ride ahead. Win or lose, Tennessee is still my Alma Mater and the Vols are still my team. Go Big Orange!

This is probably the worst, certainly top 5.

However, nobody should be surprised. Jones inherited the worst UT roster I have seen, it will take a few years to get things going in the right direction

Simply stupid. We won the game. It was 31-7 and the players let up

Perspective. Glad you are not my parent

Next year will have the possibility of being worse

As of right now, we are bringing in some top freshman, but they likely won't contribute right away

We need to maintain top classes if we plan to get better

The worst team in Volunteer history is made up of a whole lot of the un-realistic posters on VN. JMHO

Pretty sure this team will literally go down in history as the worst ever. Four wins isn't even a sure thing.

I really don't think we win 5 games. Kentucky will be our next win. We might beat Vandy to get 5 wins but if we played them right now we lose by 14.
