Would Coach Heupel hire Scott Frost as OC if Alex Golesh leaves after the Season?

i dont think if he leaves, it has anything to do with money. no amount of money can compete with the idea of being a head coach if the right situation comes up
Funny, how the right situation is usually closely related to the amount of cash on the table. Someone like him has to weigh that against the potential of stepping in $hit somewhere else.

Golesh is likely good as gone. With the way we are scoring at will, he will be a HC somewhere soon. I wish Nebraska would/could hire Bilema. He is good in the B10 and the Huskers would love to have some offense like Golesh scoring points.

I doubt Neb hires Golesch. They need a proven Head coach at P5 level.

I think they will offer Frost an offensive analyst position. He will be a HC again, he just needs a year to separate himself from the Nebraska failure.

After this season, people will be coming after Heupel. Big time. Anyone and everyone who has a coach on the hot seat is going to ask to contact him, and probaly some who appear to have a stable coaching situation. And then there's the NFL teams who might want to inquire. He will have a lot of contact and probably a lot of offers. It's Danny White's job to try to keep him here. In the end, it will depend on just what Josh Heupel's dreams are. He might not be in a more powerful negotiating position during the rest of his life.

Lord… If so, then someone in the administration office needs to be fired.

Yes, Nebraska isn’t an easy place to win but some of the calls he made in close games were absolutely mind boggling.

He doesn’t need to be in charge of any program.

Maybe. They also had to pay Frost a ton to leave, so they need a splash and on a budget. They aren’t going to buy anyone big out. They need energy and excitement and can’t pay anybody FU money to go to NU really. That leaves them Helton, Bilema, or Chadwell maybe that are underemployed. Everyone else that is decent is in a better situation. Leaves OC/DC from big program as a best option. Or an NFL assistant. Auburn is likely to be hiring and I could see a couple others on the hot seat too.

I wouldn't willingly trade Golesh for anyone, but I accept he will be a head coach in the next 3-5 years. Needs more time at this level before he is ready for an auburn/nebraska type job. I imagine Heuple would promote Jerry Mack and bring in a nfl type tight end coach; makes the most since to me.

Ole Miss > UCF. Normally Oklahoma would be a better job but is Venables pointing them in the right direction?
Ellarbe waited. Just too much been there left that imo. Whomever suggested that Halzle would advance gets my proxy. He’s very loyal but won’t be satisfied with solely QBs coach forever.
