I don’t think you’ve fully thought through what you are saying Heup should’ve done. If he would have brought in a QB from outside (who did you have in mind by the way?) he would have lost the trust of his entire team.

It’s as if some of you think head coaches have a magic wand that they choose to ignore

Someone should do some research on this. It's as of for the past 8 months most fans read our follow the hype for so long that it builds fallible teenagers and very young men into giants in their minds. Then when the probable happens, it's as if people cannot process it and just melt. That's one theory.

Why? Do you think UT gave so much money to him that we don’t have any more? If 1 player had broke UT to the point where he has to pay for his own protection, we have a lot bigger issues than just 1 game or 1 player.

Why would he have lost the trust ? Because he brought in a better player ? Watching Milton play QB is like we are reliving the Guarantano years again. The only difference was JG was tough and Milton is not.

Is he that bad though? Lets put things in perspective. In 3 games Milton has thrown for over 700 yards, 6 TD's, 1 INT, and rushed for 3 TD's. While he hasn't looked like what everyone was hoping for, and isn't making every decision perfectly, he isn't that bad. I think if you get the o-line fixed and the WR's start wining some 1v1's things will turn around. That being said unlike Hooker I don't think you can rely on Milton to go out there and "win the game" for the team.

Alphas do not run out of bounds on two point conversions or at the end of games with no time on the clock. That's not alpha. Alphas will pull the ball down and run for the yards, even lower their heads and get the extra yard if needed. Milton has done none of that. Your Alpha should not be a fifth/sixth year, could never hold a starting position player. Maybe he will turn it around but so far there is nothing to show that.

coaching is the problem,you have to put players in a position to be successful.so far up to this point hype hasnt figured it out w/ milton or playing on the road.dont forget this is just season 6 for hype being a head coach and just year 3 in the sec,you watch hurts w/ the eagles when they need a yard they put the big boys behind hurts for a qb sneak,works every single time.we go shot gun and get stuffed,thats just dumb play calling.hype needs to unleash milton or make a change to nico.ive always thought milton would be a better nfl qb than a college qb w/ his skill set.

If I am Nico I am looking at the portal. I know everyone says its his team after this year but what is there to look for? I am sure our recruiting is going to be horrible and how many current recruits are thinking about the decisions they have made??

Watch it volhoops. There are people on here who will call you all kinds of names, tell you have no idea what you’re talking about, call you a Milton hater, post some grainy picture that can’t be seen very well, and swear up and down he was knocked out of bounds against ole piss, and if you don’t see it their way you don’t even have the right to be a fan. I tend to believe my own eyes. He STEPPED out of bounds !!!

That would be stupid. Fortunately he probably knows that. I’m surprised by how many knee jerk posters there are on this board. We are one year removed from having the #1 offense in the country. Nobody knew who Hendon Hooker was before Heupel became his coach. Nico is in position to become a #1 pick in the NFL draft while making $8M while he waits. How anyone thinks he should look at the portal is beyond me

Him running out of bounds has zero impact on his alpha status. If the guys in the locker room respect him and look to him for leadership, he’s the alpha.

Haven’t you heard, we don’t have the best Oline in the country. No way we can let him play until we have an nfl quality line. You know, he MAY get hurt

Haha! Yeah I’ve heard. If people are waiting for us or any SEC school to have a situation where the QB isn’t regularly feeling pressure they’re going to waiting a looooong time

I lived thru the Guarantano years. He was a good person, had a good arm, could not play the position at a high level. I'm seeing the same again this year.
