I believe we need a Tennessee guy in some sort of capacity in the athletic department. Whether it be as AD or head coach. I am not promoting Fulmer for head coach so please do not take it that way all though I would not mind Cutcliffe coming in to clean up this mess.

There are no "Tennessee" guys available to coach. Cutcliff is from Alabama.

yes we were in the SEC Championship game the year before he left.
Lets take a look at 2007 SEC East Division Championship team.
Cal 45 TN 31
FL 56 TN 20
AL 41 TN 17
LSU 21 TN 14

TN 27 SC 24 OT
TN 25 vandy 24
TN 52 KY 50 4 OT

Yep 2007 Fulmer won the east after getting blowed out by FL and Bama and beating SC, Vandy and KY by a combined total 6 points after 5 overtime periods.

And Hammy gave him an extension... wtheck

Phillip is a very good man and he does have a passion for UT. But with all that's happened my answer is no. I like UT and I like him personally way too much to see that happen.

The landscape of College football has changed dramatically in the past 20 years. It's 100% big businees now. I want a sure fire business minded person who will strive for and demand excellence all the way around. If they are a UT person then fine. But that is far from a high criteria in my mind.

Ah, yes! The good ole days! How we long for the return of Chavis so we can watch his mustang defense give away game after game. No lead was safe no matter how large it was. And good ole Phil! Look how much money the bail bonding businesses have lost since he left. I think he even had his own office at the Knoxville Police Department since he had to go there nearly every day because his gangsters couldn't be good citizens. Have to hand it to him he sure could bring in the worst of society. He had a knack for that.
And a knack for winning.
