Would you agree?

I dont agree with the bad offense is easier to fix than defense. Ive coached basketball for years and there's no excuse for not being able to guard somebody. All that is is want to and effort. If a kid cant shoot there aint a whole lot I can do about it. I cant shoot it for them.

The thing people fail to realize is this team CAN shoot. They were shooting just fine before Georgetown. I don't understand where people are getting that they can't dribble or can't shoot. Before Georgetown, did we have these problems? We scored over 70 points in the Oakland game. We played bad against Oklahoma State but besides that game, where else couldn't we shoot or dribble????

Sorta. They had a 13-50 against Okie State.

When you break it down - Tennessee is 71-210 (34%) vs Ok St, UMASS, GT and UVA - all legit NCAA tournament contenders and all on the road - combined record of 27-7.

Against Kennesaw, UNCA and Oakland, they are 80-148 - 54% - all at home against teams which likely won't be in the tournament - combined record 6-20.

This Wichita game will be interesting. We'll start finding out if the shooting has more to do with being at home and being comfortable, or if it is a function of playing against significant D1 competition.

This is a poorly skilled team with too many projects instead of players. I can't believe they cannot sign people that can score the ball. They are poorly coached on offense too when it comes to attcking a zone. What TN tries to do against a zone is baffling at best. Cuonzo better figure it out fast. At only 6'-8" Stokes better learn to widen his offensive game if he wants to get more open looks.

Id like to see us more forceful with the ball inside, maybe run more out of the triangle. We have such poor penetration in the half court we need to move better without the ball and pound it inside.
