Would you say this to a fellow Vol?

I'm sorry, our hour is up. See you next week.
But wait Dr., we haven’t gotten to talking about my Mothers orange dress that she made we wear on Fridays when she hosted her bridge club and she made me put on an orange wig and orange lipstick and sing the Tennessee Waltz In front of everyone.

Meh, more power to him. If people take it the right way, then no harm, no foul. If they don't, he'll find out quickly enough, and can change his tactics. Or run. Run a lot, fast.

Go Vols!

He says he will laughingly ask, “hey man, todays an ORANGEOUT, you got another shirt that’s Orange to wear into the Stadium?”

I mean, isn’t the answer to that apparent? If they had an orange shirt with them (who carries a backup shirt to a football game?), wouldn’t they be wearing it?

You never know someone else’s situation, and while this would certainly be a curious game for someone with no orange shirt(s) in their wardrobe to attend given the price of admission it’s really none of your buddy’s business or concern unless he’s going to play Santa Claus and bring the people he’s chiding to the Vol Shop for a free shirt. Plus, it’s totally possible that some people haven’t gotten the memo since it was announced earlier this week (there’s a reason that Oregon sets this stuff up in advance of the season) and there’s not a bunch of reasonable options for them once they’re already on campus.

Do you remember (I think it was back in the 90’s) on rainy game days you would see a bunch of kids out in front of Neyland selling those super thin plastic orange ponchos. I remember buying a couple of them. I think for maybe $2 each. They were useless though. So thin that they would soak thru to your clothes in about five minutes.
Good times.

As most know, UT has asked that all Vol fans wear ORANGE to the game.
That was the topic of conversation today with a friend. He said that any Vol fan he sees on campus with a non orange shirt will hear about it from him. (I guess to know they are Vol fans they have on a cap or a non orange shirt that has a Power T).
He says he will laughingly ask, “hey man, todays an ORANGEOUT, you got another shirt that’s Orange to wear into the Stadium?”
Even though I hope everyone wears Orange, I’m way too shy and non confrontational to say this to somebody I don’t know (and probably even people I do know).

His behavior would be appropriate. Going around making fun of fans not in tune enough to participate in the Orange Out.

What are the chances a Vol fan going to this game doesn’t own any Orange gear?

When the sun goes down and many put on their jackets unless they know what to do it might be difficult to maintain the Orange out.

Putting a oversized Orange T-shirt over your gear works.

Let's hear him say that to a Jalen McCullough.

Who’s got a $500-1000 ticket to this game but couldn’t sort out an $25 orange T?

I think a just alittle good natured ribbing is in order

Actually, a very nice guy and a very disarming type. He gets by with saying things, especially to women, that I never could.
From your opening thread to this comment... you my friend, need more confidence, and that's something a Volunteer should never lack

I bought a white t shirt in 1992, when I was a student, from a street vendor. It is Orange lettering that says
BUCK
FAMA
in Orange letters. I've worn it in Neyland and that god awful place in Birmingham. I only wear it one day a year... the Third Saturday in October. My daughter is a Freshman now and asked me last weekend if she could wear it to the game Saturday. I'm wearing Orange, but she won't be. I hope you're friend uses discretion. There just might be a story or reason someone isn't in Orange head to toe.
