Wouldn't it be impossible..

So, your basically saying Pearl is our best option? Agreed. BBB

I don't think that is what he is saying. I think he is saying that pst like yours and others who are pushing so hard for Pearl lessens the likely hood that other, well qualified, coaches might think that the fans base will be on their butt regardless of how well the team performed. We do not have the talent to win big which reflects on less than outstanding recruiting by coach Martin. That being said, we will not win big without an outstanding PG an outstanding shooter, and a dominated 5 who can score and rebound as well as Stokes but can also block shots inside and stop drives to the basket. I believe one of the basic reasons we are not winning the close games over the past 3-5 years is the lack of a dominate PG.

I like Bruce, and clearly he can coach. But the guy has MAJOR character issues and would likely get us in trouble again. He and Tony Jones are pretty dirty despite their ozzing of charisma.

I have been saying the same thing but people just don't see it.

It would not be impossible but Hart will not be committed to hiring a good, proven coach.

Just watch the Cinderalla team in the NCAA from the mid majors and he will hire that coach.

Buzz had a good tourney run at Tulsa and we hired him. Bruce had a good tourney run at Milwaukee and we hired him. Martin had a good tourney run at Missouri State and we hired him.

Hart will hire a slightly successful coach at a low price.

He will not hire anyone who will garner more attention than the football team and he will not pay them equal to or more than the football coach.

Umm....which tournament was that again?

He never denied anything that came out either.

I wasn't trying to be a smart a$$. It was a legitimate question to find out if your opinion was based on the stuff that was widely reported or if you had additional information that wasn't public knowledge. It sounds like you think that the infractions he committed that are now common knowledge are what you're basing your opinion on.

I just feel there is more to this and why would you take a show cause for something minor.

God, it really is hard to argue this.

Not really. One good recruiting class turns a basketball team around. Its not like football where you need 2-3 classes to completely change a team. A one year turnaround isnt that hard in basketball because all you need is two or three ballers

And with the transfer rules out there it can be done very quickly.

I believe Pearl's show cause had as much to do with his stint at Iowa and the aftermath as it did with the infractions in his last year at UT.

The NCAA is a joke when a couple of big time schools stands up and tells them to shove off. They will finally crawl in there hole.

Just last week they told Oklahoma I think it was that several football players had to repay/donate to charity or something $3.50 because they ate more pasta than was allowed! Really
