Wow do we want to go back to the Dooley, Butch, Pruitt days?

Are we seriously losing our minds over a road loss in the SEC?

Playoffs are still a realistic possibility.

Not just the loss, it was the fact that we had a shot game plan and poor execution. Losses will happen but we didn’t play to our ability.

Well, at least what we thought was our ability.

Have to beat Bama and Georgia, plus not lose any other non Top rated teams…Tall order for a team with a crappy O-Line.

Some of it was the scheme as well. We run the inside zone when they stack the box and when they only have five in the box we run to the outside. It doesn’t make any sense at all.

You think that team tonight only loses one more game? They might not score 20 points in another SEC game outside of MS ST and Vandy
The way Vandy played (beating Alabama) today, I take NO team litely!

Not even as upset about the loss as much as how we lost. By playing uninspired and with an awful offensive gameplan. The offense wasn’t running quick tonight and once we got the lead we tried to play keep away. Its a tough lesson to learn, but hopefully Heupel rethinks “dialing it back”. We didn’t try to stretch the field at all.

Tough to win on the road in the SEC, especially with a freshman QB. With that being said, I think of Arkansas as a doormat-type program. I am struggling to understand how Heupel's high powered offense was shut down the way it was essentially by scrub players that no one else wanted and a coach that seems to live on the hot seat. Frankly that's a bit alarming.

There is a lot to be alarmed about:

1. Nico is not good when feeling pressure in the pocket
2. Decent receivers but no playmakers - they struggled to get open vs an average SEC team
3. O line is average
4. Offensive playcalling is suspect - enough of the screens. Makes no sense to throw the ball 15 yards sideways to get 3 yards down the field
5. DBs play soft coverage
6. Heupel doesn’t make good coaching decisions with a lead. You don’t protect leads on the road, you build on them

The Hurricane Helene tragedy makes football game results inconsequential.
We're discussing that at our house now. I had to get my profane fit out of the way to be reminded of this. My son and his girlfriend came by during the game and saw me in all my glory at the end. I made quite an a$$ of myself. Fortunately, nothing got broken and I have been forgiven for my display.

Yes. Those of us who are paying attention are losing our minds, actually. There's no excuse for losing this game.
Arkansas isn't good. Their back up QB, who couldn't even cleanly field a snap, drove them right down the field for the game winner after our offense crapped the bed for 3 and a half quarters. Are you awake?
