because freakin people here her freakin ludacris commentary and take it like it matters for something
Not really. The number of people who have the first clue who she is, let alone look to her for political insight, is roughly the same as those who build shrines to Collin Quinn.

That beeatch has been irrelevant for years. Folks pay about as much attention to her as the three year old having a tantrum at McDonalds.

What is odd is that when she came up through the ranks, she based her comedy on being the anti-Hollywood establishment female. Then she got on the cover of Marie Claire magazine (which is essentially the type of stunt that she would have normally criticized) and she suddenly "sold out" and became your typical Hollywood leftist overnight. Not that she wasn't a leftist before, but she just really became over the top.

She was actually rather entertaining when Charles Grodin had his show on CNBC or whatever when she was a special guest.

I never thought this day would come - I agree with every word of this post.

I'll say this.

Why does Keith Olbermann think that anyone gives a diddly poo what this woman thinks. I watched this little segment that was referenced, and I thought, after she said this(where she said what she thought the Tea Parties were all about), "What has Garofalo ever done for the black community? Since when does anyone care, black or white, what she has to say"

Although I wasn't exactly on board with the Tea Parties, I think that Janene(who gives a crap how it's spelled) Garofalo was totally wrong in her statement.

She is a typical Hollywood liberal elitist that believes that just by being a democrat she is supporting the causes of the black community.

Good commentary:

"The idea that American 'hate groups' are right-wing and bristling with vets got new life with JFK's assassination at the hands of a disgruntled vet named Lee Harvey Oswald.

Everybody knew right away that Oswald was an agent of 'hate' -- and hate was code for right-wing and racist.

Supreme Court Chief Justice Earl Warren summed up the instantaneous conventional wisdom when he blamed the 'climate of hatred' for Kennedy's death.

Everybody knew that the right was involved.
(Same could be said of the RFK and MLK assassinations but I sincerely doubt the were inspired by right-wing but rather blamed on conservatives in knee jerk style.)

There was just one inconvenient truth: Oswald was a communist who, according to the Warren report, had 'an extreme dislike of the rightwing' and had actually tried to murder a right-wing former Army general.

When Hollywood filmed the Tom Clancy novel 'The Sum of All Fears,' it changed the real villains from Jihadi terrorists to a bunch of European CEOs who were secret Nazis.

Because 'everybody knows' that's where the real threat lies. Sen. John Kerry belonged to an organization of vets that considered assassinating American politicians. (Kerry denied participating in those meetings.)

Barack Obama was friends with, and a colleague of, a domestic terrorist whose organization plotted to murder soldiers and their wives at a social at Fort Dix.

A young Hillary Clinton sympathized with the Black Panthers, a paramilitary gang of racist murders and cop killers. Bring that up and you're a paranoid nutcase out of 'Dr. Strangelove.'

But if you're terrified of a bunch of citizens who throw tea in the water and demand lower taxes and less government spending, well, that's just a sign of political seriousness. Because everyone knows who the real threat to the country is."

She is a "nasty piece of business," " a one woman, you know, hate event," and "an appalling human being."

MSNBC thinks it is "their responsibility as a media is to be a conduit for the Obama administration. They think they are the bastion of the, the 21st century socialistic thought. They're as left-wing as it can get, and they apparently are hell-bound to be the conduit for the Obama administration, the venue for left-wing politics and zaniness in this country."

"Let's be real candid. These people are such elitists they don't care about working men and women in this country. They don't care about our middle class. They certainly object to the rule of the majority because that would mean that their elitist nonsense would be, would be playing somewhat back of the parade, and they couldn't stand that. To call people rednecks? Oh, I see. Name calling is fine if you're on the left. This is embarrassing to the whole country. But to even have impulses like those of Olbermann's and Garofalo on the airwaves, just left-wing lunacy."

This "slant" was addressed yesterday at the GE shareholder meeting...

During GE's shareholders' meeting yesterday, O'Reilly "ambush" producer Jesse Waters confronted top executives before his microphone was cut off, while the attendees asked"about 10 politically charged questions concerning MSNBC as well as one about CNBC," according to the Hollywood Reporter.

First up was a woman asking about a reported meeting in which [chief executive Jeffrey] Immelt and NBC Uni CEO Jeff Zucker supposedly told top CNBC executives and talent to be less critical of President Obama and his policies.

Immelt acknowledged a meeting took place but said no one at CNBC was told what to say or not to say about politics.

During the woman's follow-up question, her microphone was apparently cut off. A short time later, Waters asked a question and his mic was cut, too.

"The crowd was very upset with MSNBC because of its leftward tilt," one attendee said. "Some former employees said they were embarrassed by it."

When he got the floor, Waters focused his question about MSNBC on Olbermann's interview of actress Janeane Garofalo, who likened conservatives to racists and spoke of "the limbic brain inside a right-winger."

"He [Waters] was complaining that Olbermann didn't bother to challenge her," another GE shareholder said.

Immelt told the assembled he takes a hands-off approach to what is reported on the company's news networks, which prompted a shareholder to criticize him for not managing NBC Uni more effectively.

You might have something here if not for the fact that she did not use the word "some" (which would have been correct, all parties have loons). She painted anyone who supported the tea parties and all republicans and conservatives for that matter as racists, morons and brain damaged to some extent. So by definition she was talking about those whom which she disagreed politically and with those who hold ideals other than hers.

Isn't this exactly the type of rhetoric people like Hitler and the KKK used to whip up their supporters? What does that say about you who come here to try and take the moral high ground here for her sake?

In all honesty, I am glad the left criticized the tea parties so much. Moderate democrats at least understood the protests and recognized that the left's criticism, ignoring, and flat out name calling was unjustified.

Now with all the talks about prosecuting the Bush administration, moderates that I know are angry that they won't let the past be the past even if they disagree with the interrogation techniques (not to even mention Obama's apology tour)

Bottom line, I believe the far left is getting greedy and they are slowly starting to lose the moderates and independents.

the more you agree with Olberman and Garafolo, the more intellectually bankrupt you become.

it's typical of the left, particularly the far left moonbat lefties still suffering from Bush Derangement Syndrome, to think that any criticism of Obama and his policies is rooted in racism.
