I refuse to watch the Olympics since they have included Break Dancing. Dear God, E-Sports cannot be far behind.
I saw them play an exhibition at the Final 4 in Phoenix. Weren't very impressive there either.

Then chances are you’re not much of a sports fan at all.

Couldn’t imagine not supporting our athletes in traditional Olympic sports like swimming, T&F and gymnastics because there’s some new fringe sport I don’t care that much about.

No one is forcing us to watch break dancing. 😂

The men's 100m Final is always a must-see event. I can't imagine not wanting to see it.

That’s pretty silly. Just don’t watch break dancing. You are missing out on some great competition. Swimming and T&F have been fantastic. Of course some other great events that I really only watch during the Olympics like beach volleyball and gymnastics.

Just realized that Lyles is from Gainesville ... it took a while, but that town is finally good for something. 😂

Meh…Gainesville has been cranking out Olympic gold medals for decades.

Now Lyles lives in Clermont, so he’s pretty much my neighbor.

Off topic ... but does anyone else remember when boxing used to be a big deal in the Olympics? Legends such as Muhammed Ali (Cassius Clay in 1960), George Foreman and Sugar Ray Leonard were introduced to the world?

Then the 1988 Olympics in Seoul happened .... Specifically, a fight involving Roy Jones Jr. and a South Korean was fixed. Since then, boxing has all but disappeared from coverage, and the boxing venue is always empty. It's only been covered this year due to a transgender controversy on the women's side.

Don't sleep on that 84 team either. Launched Holyfield. Tyson was an alternate on the team also I believe

Yep .... and Pernell Whitaker and Meldrick Taylor were also on the '84 team.

Somehow, an 18 year old Tyson, lost a close decision in the trials to Henry Tillman. A gangly, average fighter that Tyson destroyed in a 1st round knockout as a professional.

In the 1988 Olympics .... Lennox Lewis (fighting for Canada) defeated Riddick Bowe for the Gold Medal in the Heavyweight division. That was a great fight ... but the '88 Olympics in Seoul were a disaster for boxing as an Olympic sport. They probably should just cancel it at this point. Synchronized Swimming gets more coverage.

Now show the angle where it clearly shows the Jamaican sticking his neck out while Lyles stuck his torso out.

Its has finally shut down all competition for the most cringy 'sport' ever in the olympics. I get totally triggered by it. The B-boys and B-girls...I grew up in the breakdancing era it's very traumatic when the movie Breakin' came out everyone used to call me turbo. The nightmares of parachute pants and jeri curl juice. I had to destroy all pictures from the 80's so no evidence of the evil things I did/wore as a child remain.

I am 100% sure everyone knows the 80s happened if I have pics or not. anyone involved with the 80's was part of it so I mean you might not be able to show anyone pictures but if you know anyone over 40 be aware the only reason they are allowed to walk free is the fashion police have a statute of limitations. Even goodwill and thrift stores mostly skip the worst of the 80's for your safety.
