As I remember the LVs had signed three quality recruits and were waiting to see where Davis was as the signing dates approached. For those who follow the football recruiting boards and the 100's of names that cross the links as possibles - the conclusion can only be that the State of Tennessee has some excellent players as do other states.

I asked the the question last year about Nina Davis from Memphis Central. I asked, are we recruiting NINA DAVIS?
Nina Davis is playing on another level at Baylor University. Averaging: 14ppg and 9 rebounds, Nina Davis grabbed 17 rebounds against UCONN... Is it too late??? WHO let her get out of TENNESSEE?

Who would you have cut to make room?

OK..... OK...... We can resolve this ask Nikki McCray if Nina Davis wanted to be a Lady Vol!!!!! Nikki recruited Nina Davis to South Carolina, because she knows talent when she sees it!!!!!!

Thank you bray 2 milton....... She let her get out of the State..... She was Miss Basketball for the State of Tennessee.....
There is nothing to resolve. We know she didn't want to be a Lady Vol. She never mentioned Tennessee as a school she was interested in. For your enlightenment, in this country, people are allowed to cross State borders and often would prefer to do so. There may have been a time when Tennessee had first pick of local players, but that day is long gone. Tennessee must compete on an equal footing with many other schools. Every school has its advantages and drawbacks.

This thread makes me think of how we should have got Alana Beard. Tennessee was her dream school but for some reason we never got the 'tapes' of her is what I rememeber hearing in the media.

This thread makes me think how easy it is for kids to choose bad schools, not because they themselves are dumb, but because we can clearly see how unhinged and deranged members of recruits family's can be.

I've yet to decide much on Holly as a coach, but one thing I know about TN recruiting is that we get most of the recruits we want in lady's sports, and then some. If this girl wasn't at least top 50 in rankings, its no surprise we let her go. And, even if she was, we very well probably had higher targets on our lists.

She may have once been a Tennessee fan, but she did not show interest in Tennessee during the recruiting process, dating back to her freshman year. The coaching staff moved on and signed the nation's top class with the nation's top player.

Surprise! Tennessee recruit Kortney Dunbar is ranked #79.

Are you including the parents of Lady Vol recruits among the unhinged and deranged?

All I can say to that is....well, dadgum. I sure wished we had gotten Alana Beard. That would've been awesome. I always thought she was a great player.

The girls went down big at Ala yesterday, didn't fold, kept fighting and won going away...Instead of that, we are talking about a girl that now plays for Baylor? We don't have her in a LV uniform, so why does she matter here?

But, but Holly is a great coach. Pffttt

Pfffft your self :hi:

was there any mutual interest from both sides ? that is the question, there may not have been and did she wanted to be recruited by CPS and not CHW ? that may have been a factor too

When it comes to their kid? Nearly always.

But no, deranged is whenever a person with 30 posts makes a topic to complain about not recruiting a girl that didn't want to come to a team anyway, then bumping said topic in less than a few seconds because one of us didn't answer fast enough. Unhinged are the people who then defend that poster in anything short of mockery or sarcasm.

It's like a Sab for the women.
