I studied for the second time and got 3 ponts better. Actually, i think that if you do 13% better the second time, they review the test and possibly make you take it again.

Wow, nice tangent on the ACT score.

A 23 is fine - it's a qualifying score. Secondly, people can be incredibly smart but horrible at standardized tests.

If you are doing so excellent in school that you can maintain a 4.0 GPA, then that knowledge should carry over to the ACT. Its nothing but a compilation of the skills you've learned over the course of your education.

You don't have to that smart to get a 4.0. just hard work.

i can agree with that to some degree. You're definitely smart with a 4.0, it's just there could easily be others smarter than you at 4.0 as well. But I just think you can manage better than a 23, standardized test or not. I'm not trying to brag, but I made a 32 overall, so I saw no reason to take it again. I also only managed a 3.7 GPA in high school, but I took some harder math classes, some AP courses and some advanced courses.

There was no way for me to get around to why i have my feelings. I guess I just don't know much from the other side. I'm obviously a better tester than I am at working hard to get the grade. A very good friend of mine (well she was back then), was definitely not one of the smartest in our class, but she didn't take any AP courses, only took the required math courses, but did take some advanced English classes and snuck away with co "valid victorian" honors. She studies like no one else though. I know I beat her in the ACT, but she didn't make a 23 either. I just can't grasp the idea of a 4.0 and a 23.

Like VIA said though, it's a qualifying score.

I went to a private school and finished 4th in my class with a 3.9 GPA. However, I took the ACT twice and got a 23 both times. I was terrible at Standardized tests. It is very possible for people to do very well in school and average on the ACT.

I have a 3.4 at one of the best public high schools in Ohio, and got a 23, hopefully I can get that up to a 24 or 25 so I can get into Tennessee.

A. It's not like this topic was going anywhere
B. We're concerned with the kid's grades. It seems legit, but it was a fair argument.
C. I would say I'm sorry for asking question, but you babies can get over it.

Seems like a good athlete.
Would love to have him. Does anyone know how good his hands are?
