Recruiting is rarely that simple. There are always outside contenders that have some % of chance and NIL makes that even more paramount. So when did the whole Miami visit come about? I thought he was down to us and Ole Miss? News to me.
That's what I figured. My guess is Miami may end up with this guy. Hope I'm wrong, but they must be offering something"nice" for him to take a visit after he already narrowed his choices down to 2. If we don't land him I won't be too upset. I'm still really confident in our other receivers to step and really produce in their 2nd year under Heupel. We will be fine.$$$$
Yeah I agree. I just felt like with his past experience with Heupel and being familiar with Ole Miss and UTs offenses, that he was pretty set on his final choices. Of course I was wrong, but that's just how I felt about his situation. Now, I'm not too sure we will land him with him taking another visit. Because if he was decided on where he was going I don't see much point in taking another visit. Unless they have an offer that entices him to come there. Guess we will see.Recruiting is rarely that simple. There are always outside contenders that have some % of chance and NIL makes that even more paramount.
For whatever reason people hear AP say positive things and think it's a 100% lock. Then he says 51%, or below 51%, and are shocked. But that's recruiting. It's always more complicated than biased fans make it out to be.
Also good for us in some cases...we weren't even in the discussion for Tate or Mauigoa that long ago. Door swings both ways! But it's always fluid![]()
As to your first statement, the NCAA had Miami dead to rights, and nothing happened. I doubt they're overly concerned with getting busted by the NCAA. They're not Tennessee fans. They don't spend much time hand-wringing.Imo just remind him every dollar from Miami is coming from a (now illegal) booster.
And that Kiffin is a ***** boy.
Easy peasy
