WV vs Texas

WVU not playing their game...wheel routes, bubble screens then strike deep.

I don't know why but I don't like the way Texas players on the sideline were jumping all over the place during the review. Even one of their assistant coaches was looking to the crowd and raising the roof with his arms up in the air.

Oh man... WV had an easy touchdown and the guy tripped himself.

Another touchdown from Geno Smith.

The fact that he's still doing it against Texas is scary.

3 touchdowns passing. Should have been 4.

Umm.. you did see what the true freshman back-up QB from Oklahoma State did last week right? Please....

And you do remember that he played in the Big East. An irrelevant garbage conference that lacks talent. I'm assuming a bad Texas defense would still be the best in the Big East.

And just because you're a back up and a freshman, doesn't mean you can't be good. Brady was a back up at both Michigan while flip flopping and with New England. Peyton played as a freshman. I'm not saying he's anywhere near as good as those guys but there are more talented QB's sitting behind starters all around the country and I'm certain some of them are freshman. Being a freshman is why they're on the bench to begin with.

I always enjoy a Texas loss.

Big East contenders = Big 12 contenders.

Big 12 contenders = SEC bottom feeders.

I promise you no one from Texas, OU, and the others couldn't give a sh-t about how Missouri and A&M do in conference

If anything, they want them both to lose every game by basketball scores to zero for the next 9 years

Maybe so but it makes their conference look weak that Missouri racks up double digits in the win column on a regular basis and then they lose to Vanderbilt.

Isn't Missouri one of the winningest teams over the past 5 seasons?

I'm just sick of seeing people attack the SEC as being overrated. Half the country was bashing Florida/LSU today just like they bashed LSU/Alabama's 6-3 game.

I'm not an SEC chanting, rah-rah our conference is better kind of guy but after seeing how they talk crap about the conference being overrated, I'll take the small joy I can out of Vanderbilt winning toppled on to a Big East team potentially going undefeated in their first season in the Big 12.

No one thought mizzou or aTm would contend in the big 12 this year either. A lot of people have picked WVU to go to the nation championship they're not the typical big east contender.

Is West Virginia a contender for the Big 12? They've knocked off Baylor and now Texas. Can they go undefeated in the Big 12? Big games left are Texas Tech-13 Oct; Kansas St-20 Oct; TCU-3 Nov; Oklahoma St-10 Nov; and Oklahoma-17 Nov.

I don't know if they will get by Oklahoma but if they do, they better hope they don't play an SEC defense. After seeing Auburn hold Oregon to 19 and Florida hold Oklahoma to 14, SEC defense will prevail over an offense lighting up another conference.

And while Missouri might not be favored to win the Big 12, Being 3-3, 0-3 in the SEC with a loss to Vanderbilt is a big drop from 8-5, 8-5, 10-4, 10-3 and 12-2 over the last 5 seasons. They were a threat to knock off quality teams in the Big 12 and now they're losing to Vanderbilt.

Kansas State vs WVU will decide the Big XII, IMO. I think Oklahoma is overrated.

Not in the least. Defense in the Big 12 and Pac 10 is optional, has been for a decade now.

West Virginia seems like a paper tiger to me. They keep eeking by in these track meet like games. They haven't played a living, breathing defense all year. Nor have they had a single game that they won in an impressive fashion. It's just offense, offense, offense. If they played in the SEC, they'd be no better than the 5th or 6th best team.

Be interesting to see them play K State in a few weeks. People seem to be completely writing off K State, while WVa is already being treated like a title contender. But at least K St plays defense.

I think there are at least three teams in the SEC that would definitely beat WVa (Bama, South Carolina, and Florida), and at least a few more (Miss State, LSU, and Georgia) that would have at least 50-50 odds. For that matter, even if Tennessee couldn't stop them, I'm betting that Tyler Bray & Co could at least put up 40+ points on WVa and make it interesting.

LSU's offense is horrible, but I'd bet they'd practically shut down Geno Smith. It would at least be a close game. After this SC loss, I'm convinced that Georgia's defense is terrible, but I really see no reason that Georgia couldn't at least keep up in a track meet vs. WVa, either.
