Just watched Breaking Ground, which leaked early on WWE network. It's pretty good. Much better than Tough Enough, but way too short. Only 30 minutes, roughly. I wanted more, which is a good thing.
-you can tell Matt Bloom aka Prince Albert is a good coach and really knows his sh!t
-at one point he asks Baron Corbin if he's working on his abs, Corbin replies, "Do you think I need to work on my abs" and Bloom's response is "I think it's too late." I lol'ed.
-NXT talent has to help set up the rings, much like WWE refs have to help set them up. Bravo for them, and I think it makes a lot of sense for them to have to do that.
-You get more of a sense of how tough it is on performers to not make it, as opposed to Tough Enough, which is obviously more staged. You also get more of a sense of the frustration from guys like Corbin who have been there a while. But as Bloom says, it's all on them. I don't think anybody is intentionally held back in NXT. Also when people are let go, it's not always just because they suck, but because they have medical issues that we don't always hear about.
-As with the background segments you see on guys like Crews and Balor in NXT, the interviews here give you a better feel for performers, much more so than kayfabe promos
-While somewhat staged, there's going to be some cool moments coming up in future episodes, like HHH breaking the news to Bayley and Sasha that they're going to be main eventing a PPV
