Reigns has already had a shot. I don't understand why they don't give Cesaro or Ambrose a chance.

Ambrose has too though. I'm a fan of Cesaro, but I'm not sure he's ready. I would love to see him feud with KO or ADR though. Preferably ADR because I want to see Owens continue to move up.

He's not needed. Let him start a feud with Owens or ADR. I'm tired of him being the odd duck. This is a feud between Reigns and Rollins. Why keep it from happening again by adding Ambrose. Instead, give Ambrose his own push.

Or, put Ambrose in the HW title match. Good idea come to think of it. We need a Big Show face turn so he can face Owens. I like it.

He is needed. Reigns is boring. Ambrose and Rollins is not. 2 non boring people > better than one non boring person. And BIG SHOW? If Big show is on TV anymore, jeez. Needs to hang it up.

I'm personally more entertained by Reigns. That's just my personal opinion though. People talk about how bad his mic skills are, but he has Cesaro beat there too IMO. I'm personally a fan of both.

Ethan, do you watch Wrestle Reaction? If not, it's a wrestling review show that comes on after every Raw and PPV. They do a great job of breaking down the shows. If you don't watch it, I highly recommend checking it out. You can find it on YouTube by searching for the wrestle reaction channel.

I'll have to check it out. Just subscribed on YouTube.

Michael Cole's chair has better mic skills than Cesaro. He's a freak and fun to watch, but no way does he possess the all around talent to be the face of the company as WHC

Apparently sarcasm isn't your strong suit.

It doesn't really matter how good you are in the ring or how over you are or how good you are on the mic. The WWE machine is going to push who they want and force us to like it.

If I'm doing my math right, he actually made more money back then than anybody does today, including Cena. That's insane.

Thing is, Hogan was way bigger than Cena or anybody today.

But I don't think the PPV buyrates or gate receipts were what they are today. Either way, it was a ridiculously generous contract, especially considering the creative control on top of the oodles of cash.

Based on percentages, he was paid more than Stone Cold ever earned. He got nearly $1 mil when he tapped Nash on the chest and won the title back.

It's generous, but we're talking about the biggest draw in the history of wrestling. Also, typical Raw ratings today are in the 2-3 range. Back then, both Raw and Nitro hovered around a 4.0 rating or better. Better ratings plus competing companies = more competitive contracts.

Hogan is a little hard to explain if you weren't there. From about 1984 to the late 90s, he was so far out in front as a draw and crossover icon that it's easy to understand why WCW overpaid.

Absolutely. I grew up as an NWA/WCW fan, but WWF was definitely big brother. The biggest name to ever come out of NWA/WCW in those times was Ric Flair, and that's no offense to Sting or Dusty Rhodes. He was the champ for the majority of those years, he was almost always a heel, and he wasn't a persona that had any crossover appeal. And that's why nothing (from a shocking turn/swerve angle) will ever come close to Hogan joining the NWO. Nothing. Ever. And he took advantage of that and got richer. A John Cena heel turn would come the closest, but not really that close.

That '97 Starcade draw with prime (heel) Hogan and prime (crow) Sting, factoring in the competition and ratings and buildup was huge.

I still think they have potential for a huge draw in the potential if they would 100%, no turning back or padding it, turn Cena heel for the last few years of his career. Have him lay down to a huge baby face like Rollins or Balor, or a returning Daniel Bryan / CM Punk to end his career in a loser retires match....that PPV would be a monster in comparison to recent numbers.

This reimagining of WWE as monsters is pretty cool:
