I was there and obviously involved in his match at WrestleMania last year, said Hall. Were rehearsing the match in Cali last year at Levi Stadium, and its the Kliq and the New Age Outlaws out there, and we all know each other. And then theres Sting, who doesnt know anybody. Hes an outsider. I just think he never felt comfortable there. Being hurt was answered prayer for himjust let it end.
You need to remember that Vince is never going to go with something he didnt create. But we didnt get anything done at the rehearsal the night before, so WrestleMania day, there were tents in the parking lot set up with rings for rehearsal. So were all in there again, and Im next to Hulk on the ring apron and Triple H is going over the match and then he goes, OK, hell break the sledgehammer, then Ill hit him with the sledgehammer, and cover him, 1-2-3. I looked at Hulk, and Hulk looked at me, and I was thinking, Sting, what kind of lawyer do you have, bro? Youre coming in the door doing a job? You werent even guaranteed to go over? Thats Vince just reminding you who won, even if hes going to make money the other way.
Interesting comments from Scott Hall about Sting losing to HHH:

That's sad and kinda hilarious at the same time. I'm sure it wasn't all Vince. HHH prolly had a hand in the decision too.

So according to Dave Meltzer, the plan is for HHH to face Reigns for the title in THE main event of WM. LOL...just...LOL.
Also Lesnar and Taker are penciled in to face generic heels such as Sheamus, Del Rio - and lol again - Strowman, but Owens facing Lesnar is not likely.
Man...
The company's new motto should be "Can we be that stupid? YES! YES! YES!"
I think HHH puts on pretty good matches, especially when he's putting someone over. He's much better than he gets credit for. Obviously he's not flashy, but he knows how sell the match and make his opponents look good.
Undertaker is way past his prime though. He simply doesn't give a good performance at this point.
For me it's nothing about HHH's ability. It's the fact that he always has to be in the forefront
If you think about it, we've been intermittently in the same angle for 15+ years. It's been the top face vs. Mr. McMahon, a rogue GM or the Authority. I actually give HHH credit for not injecting himself more as a wrestler since he's really not that old.
