the only reason Bryan hasn't been cleared is WWW covering their ass against potential concussion liability.I'm usually not one for tinfoil hat theories, but in this case I think it sounds about right that Vince is afraid of Bryan. Reigns is more protected than Cena ever dreamed of being. Seems really fishy, especially when they let guys like Tommy Dreamer wrestle. He's just old and stubborn, cares more about proving a point, and it's not like Bryan was huge money anyway. His merchandise sold just ok, and ratings didn't really skyrocket with him on top.
If Reigns got hurt for WM, I think you would "miraculously" see Bryan back. To put it another way, if there was a WCW nipping at Vince's heels, you would see Bryan back.
I'm kinda torn. I love seeing all these talented guys under one roof, but lack of competition really sucks. I miss WCW.
I wish and hope I'm reaching. But ITS WWE FOR GOODNESS SAKE. Lol. Fact is Ziggler has had just as many if not more concussions than Bryan and he literally wrestlers more matches than anyone of the roster.
Ziggler also never had a near career ending neck injury.
I still remember when Bryan came back and he was in the ladder match and he and ziggler got on the top of the ladder and did the head butt exchange and looking at my buddy and going "Is the guy with a serious neck injury seriously doing continuous headbutts in his first big match back?"
One of the matches I would do to help save Wrestlemania!
Between now and "Mainia" I would have Sasha take the belt from Charlotte and then have Bayley come out on a RAW and challenge her for the title.
Asuka takes NXT Title from Bayley at Takeover Dallas and then a couple of nights later Sasha & Bayley tear the house down at Wrestlemania!
The best story line they could tell if they wanted to really do this is have a full on NXT invasion angle. Think about this lineup. The first ones aren't as strong as the others because they'd need to develop more to be better, and you can inject almost any NXT superstar into the heavyweight title match and get more pop than Reigns is, but I'm going to add who I think would cause the biggest one:
Also, I know Lesnar is on the card, but this list does not include him for logistical purposes. Have him wrestle Stone Cold or the Rock in this dream scenario honestly.
Tag Titles: New Day vs Enzo and Cass. No issues here whatsoever really or big surprises, I think this is the best you could get without getting the Dudley's and Vaudevillains involved and doing a TLC match (Which I'd totally be cool with.)
New Day Retains
You have a six woman elimination style match for the WWE championship between Bayley, Asuka, Charlotte, Sasha, Becky, and Paige. You do it this way because it demands that the women get a lot of screen time, which these women deserve. If you don't do a match like this you keep Bayley and Asuka until the RAW after mania and have them come out to challenge whoever wins.
Doesn't matter who wins this one as long as it's a great match and if Charlotte wins she wins dirty.
Seeing as they're pushing this Wyatt family vs Undertaker in some way story, you make the best of it. You have the Wyatts beat the hell out of him over and over until Mania, just non stop. You have him bring Kane out to help at some point, and they do better but still lose. Then, at Mania, you have the Wyatt's come out first, followed by Kane who stands at the top waiting on his brother. Taker comes out without a huge entrance this time, and he speaks, but with no microphone and its thunderous around the arena. Something like, "We recognize the strength of your family, so we made a pact with the same evil who gave us strength in the beginning to send us an ally to help in defeating you." and out comes demon Finn Balor. Taker, Kane, Balor vs Wyatt family. (You could throw Sting in there for a true 4v4 but I doubt he wrestles again, and that might take away from Ballor's debut.) The match ends with Balor hitting his finisher on Bray as Taker and Kane double tombstone Rowan and Harper with Strowman through a table on the outside of the ring.
U.S. Title is a standard triple threat, presuming you keep Kalisto with the belt, or even if you give it back to Del Rio. You have the Champ vs Austin Aries vs Samoa Joe.
Joe Wins
Intercontinental Title
This would be the match of the night. You take Ambrose and Owens, two already brilliant guys in a great feud, and you inject two more brilliant guys in AJ Styles and Nakamura. You do this because it puts them both in a virtual main event scenario to see how they do, and because it lets you mix and match these four in any way you want immediately after. Imagine Owens blasting Nakamura on RAW the next night in a match against Jericho or Del Rio because he cost him the title setting up a long story? Or you have Ambrose throwing jabs at Nakamura the whole time they feud for his bad English and fighting style.
In a dream world, Nakamura wins. But I think if it really happened Ambrose would retain.
Main Event:
Simple. You have a triple threat match containing the old guard (HHH) the current guard (Roman Reigns) and the new guard, Sami Zayn.
You go about this match one of two ways. You have it be HHH called Zayn up specifically to help him beat Reigns and retain his title, and have Zayn betray him at the end and win the title himself or for Reigns. Or, my personal favorite, you have them all fight evenly and fairly until the very end when Zayn turns and takes out Reigns with a Sledgehammer and wins the title, becoming the Authority's new #1 guy, which will immediately put him on a collision course with Rollins when he comes back healthy.
