WWE Thread III

absurd to me that the double standard is so strong as to let him continue to be in the main event

surely they'll eventually remove him

Or let him win the belt and cement his heel status at the same time.

Before the suspension, I would have been alright with him staying as a tweener for awhile as he was really starting to hit his stride. Now that this suspension is happening, I believe that they should go ahead and pull the trigger on a heel turn.

If Vince continues to blatantly protect and push Roman after this suspension with no chance of a heel turn, then I think the term "X-Pac heat" will be replaced with "Roman Reigns heat"

How can this be?? You can't make more haters because the only people who dislike Reigns are those who have a bias from blind hate.

Well he was already getting less than 50/50 reactions in their B and C towns so the haters were there. If he comes back as a top of the card babyface/ tweener, those boo birds will go from "boo we don't like you're booking" to "boo we don't want to see you anymore"

I get it

I may be biased but I think Reigns already gets plenty of the "boo I don't want to see you anymore"

Also, we will see what happens Randy was a big notable name with a suspension and when he came back he jobbed and put everyone over for a while. He eventually did get back to the main event though. So curious to see if Reigns puts people over the next few months or not.

Reigns is doing his time. If it were my choice, I would have him win the title back by cheating. Take advantage of this and bring him back as a heel who doesn't play by the rules. I don't necessarily want to see the strap on him again yet, but that scenario would do the most long term good IMO. A Reigns heel turn would be big. With all that being said, I don't expect it at all.

I honestly expect for The WWE to pretend like nothing happened when Reigns comes back. And when the fans boo him and chant things like cheater at him, they will probably have JBL say on commentary that the WWE universe is unpredictable and is booing one of their favorites.

How can they pretend it didn't happen when they've publicly announced his suspension on their website and on Raw last Monday? The fact that they didn't use the injury/movie angle with him and actually had Raw open up with Rollins talking about it says to me that they're not hiding this.

Yeah but they also had Ambrose come out and act like it's no big deal and since Reigns owned up to it, we should just move on.

Ambrose's character is supposed to be best friends with Roman, so I would expect him to say that. I'm not reading too much into that.

The WWE had him say what he said for a reason.

I guess we'll just wait and see.

Here's the thing. Roman has not been booked as a Cena over the top baby face since the Raw after WM. He's gradually been getting better in the tweener role, and I do think this is leading up to a heel turn.

The strings have been pulled behind the scenes for centuries to ensure Roman Reigns became to top guy in the WWE right now and for the rest of time.

Lawler's charges were dropped (along with his fiance's) and most reports seem to show that he was trying to rectify a bad situation more than anything.
