WWE Thread III

The Women's match had a completely unnecessary finish but a cool ending. The announcement nearly put me to sleep, but the angle will be cool when these two keep agreeing and Triple H comes in all hot and bothered about it. (You took all my NXT talent and now you're agreeing with HIM?!).

The main event was Roman's best pro wrestling match to date. Still too much Cena 2.0 with surviving 3 finishers and an interference only to need one finisher to win. When he came out you could actually hear the blatant gradual slide of the lowered crowd mics. If you didn't catch it, check it out. I had to make sure I wasn't sitting on the remote it was so drastic. That **** needs to stop.

Turn Roman heel and accept it and then a match AND finish like tonight turns into MOTY candidate, and sets up for a Seth Rollins Summerslam match / return that gets both desired / appropriate reactions and probably tears the house down.

All in all it was a good show and I'm glad to see Enzo on his feet. He's my favorite on air personality right now. AJ is showing (the WWE crowd) why he's arguably the best pure pro wrestler on the planet.

7/10.

I give this ppv a B+. I really enjoyed it aside from the long and boring announcement.

I'll give it a B-. I enjoyed it. But the main event cluster **** I didn't really like. It was a good match though. And the divas ending was so stupid. And the announcement was way too long.

Oh and just imagine a potential match of AJ Styles vs Seth Rollins. That match could outdo Nakamura and Zayn possibly. Should def be a WWE championship match at some point or WWE is just hopeless.

Considering it was Charles Robinson, I totally understand the non-tap bell ring

But I fully agree that the women in the company deserve to be the story, not their old relatives. Don't tell me the women are important, then make all outcomes occur because of Ric and Bret

All those good to great matches he was involved in (including tonight) were all because of the other guy. He deserves no credit.

Not sure if you're being serious or not, lol.

Reigns is very athletic, but he still has a limited move set and tends to do them the same way. AJ presented him with a lot of different angles that made him look better.

Yup. Roman has only ever had two good matches as a singles guy anyways . Bryan and AJ. Both of which could have good matches with a broom. Lol. His matches with Wyatt and Lesnar were just "solid" imo. If I'm forgetting one lemme know. Lol

His Last Man Standing match with Big Show last year was surprisingly good.

As far as the show, I'll give a B. They could've at least had one title change hands (either US or IC) to upset the status quo somewhat. Other than that and the Women's finish it was a solid show. Sometimes having a bunch of run ins can ruin the vibe of a match, but considering the story and all the restarts I thought they made it work well in the main event.

I just don't get Kalisto as US Champ. I know it's a play for the Hispanic market, but come on. Having him be a high flying, entertaining tag team guy is one thing. Pretending that 5'6" 150 can routinely beat anybody and hold onto a singles belt is dumb.

Mysterio pulled it off. the problem is they just don't book it. There's no story behind Kalisto, no hyping of the belt and the matches are booked at the weirdest times. it's not Kalisto's fault imo, WWE just doesn't give you anything to actually buy.

Outlaw already brought up the last man standing match with Big Show (I was shocked that Reigns could actually have a good match with him). His match with Orton wasn't great, but it was good.

Btw, wouldn't the term solid be considered good?

I can't be the only person who thought the most impressive move of the night was AJ putting Roman in the Fireman's Carry Backbreaker like it was no big deal. They may book him as 220 but I bet if he jumped on scales he'd top out at about 195-200. But Roman is a legit 260, and doing that so effortlessly was impressive as hell to me.

That was really impressive. I also remember thinking at the time of that move, if AJ had done a GTS there Chicago would have exploded.

Craziest two spots imo were:

1) Cesaro standing on the ropes and suplexing Miz from down on the apron up over the ropes and over his head vertically.

2) The spot where Zayn dives from the floor over the bottom turnbuckle and turns it into a tornado DDT on the other side. That move blows my mind every time.

I know his recovery is the most important thing and he won't be doing anything physical, but I hope Enzo can at least come out and do a promo. Maybe call out the Vaudevillains and talk about their unfinished business. Enzo is my favorite superstar right now.

Really? I thought that was a contender for worst match of the year in all honesty. But memory is hazy on it. And very well could of been a case of where I didn't give a **** and was just zoned out during it.

Or you just hate Reigns so much you won't give him credit for anything?
