Lol, i don't see how people can think this way. Kentucky winning would not help Tennessee.

Amen! And why would I want a team to win the national title that I hate & root against all year! It's called a RIVALRY!
Kentucky in BB is the equivilant of Alabama in FB, only I hate Bama MUCH more!

We need to convince players like Poythress to play for their state school.

I get that point, but basketball is a different animal with the AAU circuit, one and done rules, etc. Coach Cal has made it clear that he's built a pipeline to the NBA and that he doesn't mind starting over every year with a new crop.

I'll only say one thing, because apparently I can't say anything in my defense without mods sending me emails. You guys can proceed with the insults and comedy at my expense, I could care less.

The most fun I have out of this forum, is watching the huge majority of UT fans celebrate other programs failures, because they have JACK SQUAT to celebrate about their own program. Butt hurt abounds, and it says a lot more about your program than it does others.

Forget that you are horribly mediocre in both basketball, and the sport which you love most.

Write it down, take a picture, give me another infraction. I'm assuming I won't see ya again for 3 days, or maybe never. Either way, #gocats

This.

I would assume that if I had gone to a Kentucky message board over the past few seasons that I would have seen plenty of threads mocking the down seasons Tennessee football was having despite the fact that Kentucky football is a dumpster fire of historic proportions.

I can only assume this because I have better things to do than go to a rival message board and then whine about the poor treatment I get.

Considering you have been on here since 09' and assuming you have been on a KY message board at some point during that time, I would think you would have thought that post through a little better.

Nothing like helping the stereotype of the typical UK fan, Cletus. You used to be a decent poster. Maybe you should just get lost. Since when is a Sweet 16 and Top 25 finish mediocre? Your butthurt is so awesome.

What did you expect? A pat on the back and get 'em next time talk?

Here's some advice. Even when UT won the national title in '98 in football, I still hoped Ky lost every game in basketball. Just like now when we went 5-7. Nothing has changed for me. Hell, Ky would kill to have some of our mediocre seasons in football over the years. And if going to the Sweet 16 is mediocre, I'll take that mediocrity a lot.

I can't believe we got as far as we did. Hate on as far as I'm concerned. If nobody hates you for one reason or another, then you haven't done anything worthwhile...

What would happen if the Chancellor of UK put his foot down and said he's limiting or curtailing the recruiting of one and done AAU types?

couldn't work. Is he going to prohibit every student from dropping out and getting millions after their freshman year? If the player flunks out does he stay in school?

Too bad a rule can't be implemented that a scholarship player has to be in school three seasons before going pro. If the said AAU types don't like it they can go pro out of high school.

I hate Kensucky. I'm flying high with a uconn win. I will buy a uconn shirt and wear it in KY today.

I never understood SEC homerism. If KY wins it all it makes us look good?? WTH kind of logic is that? We recruit against these teams. When they have success to flaunt around and we don't it makes recruiting harder people. Not rocket science.

I'm hate our rivals as much as the next guy, but because the SEC pools revenue then distributes it equally, it really does benefit the more a SEC team wins. Same with football and basketball. Below is a Forbes article scratching the surface as to how income would be allocated:

He doesn't have to remove the tattoo.
The year is very small and plain compared to the rest of it. All he has to do is edit the year. I would never get a tattoo like that myself, but at this point, if I were him, I would have "--" written over "14" in the year, so it says "20--" with everything else underneath it. Then, he just has to wait for their next title and then edit in the year.

I would say it could be touched up, but the thing is just hideous. He copped out on the year though. That could easily be covered up with a dark banner or bolder lettering. If he actually had the onions, he should have incorporated the year in blue behind or into the tattoo itself. It's not like they won't win another in the next 86 yrs.
