Year Zero

First off, how about none of this "Year Zero" talk. We did that for Dooley given the circumstances of having to bring him in late and unexpectedly after Kiffin threw us under the bus. Butch Jones was brought in earlier and in a much more organized manner as opposed to a panic hire situation such as we had with Dooley.

Second, yes it does appear the team isn't doing all that great this year compared to the last two years, and the Vandy game may well decide the season. Sucks for us but sometimes good teams hit a snag, and sometimes weak teams have bright periods.

But give Butch Jones the rest of this year and at least two more seasons to see how things develop before jumping ship and demanding he be fired. Maybe he's the guy we need, maybe not. Given the hole the team has been put into, combined with a lot of SEC teams being much better regardless, turning into a winning program again, let alone a consistent Top 25 program again, isn't something that will happen overnight.

But demanding CBJ's head or dropping the team at this point is foolish and short sighted. If that is the direction things go no major coaches will risk touching the job, and future recruits will go to other schools.

We get Butchered for 3 more years and then a new coach will come riding in..... No way this is the "Best Staff in the country"...

The SC win was apparently pure fluke... The signature losses are already beginning to outpace the signature wins... Losing next week will just add to the total...

Losing and competing against a top 10 team isn't a signature loss btw but the way they lost to Missouri and Auburn make them signature losses and a Vandy loss will be regardless of competing or not...

At this point I don't know if they beat Kentucky and the recruiting cookie jar will start to look like someone has been reaching in with both hands....

:disappointed:

Awwww this is you -------> :cray:. Would you like a block of cheese for your whine? You need to be a Vandy fan because you're such a negative nancy.

Dude, get a grip! Did you really expect a Top 25 ranking this year? Don't jump on the bandwagon when butch rights the ship.

Vols are in the land of the midnight sun or somewhere very close, but just 2 more years of darkness.

For those saying it isn't "Year Zero", take a look at what all those 4* recruits we've had the last few years are doing for us (hint: not playing).

Unfortunately it is also darkest right before hail falls and a tornado rolls through...

The last three weeks looked more like a hail storm than clouds about to part.
