First off, how about none of this "Year Zero" talk. We did that for Dooley given the circumstances of having to bring him in late and unexpectedly after Kiffin threw us under the bus. Butch Jones was brought in earlier and in a much more organized manner as opposed to a panic hire situation such as we had with Dooley.
Second, yes it does appear the team isn't doing all that great this year compared to the last two years, and the Vandy game may well decide the season. Sucks for us but sometimes good teams hit a snag, and sometimes weak teams have bright periods.
But give Butch Jones the rest of this year and at least two more seasons to see how things develop before jumping ship and demanding he be fired. Maybe he's the guy we need, maybe not. Given the hole the team has been put into, combined with a lot of SEC teams being much better regardless, turning into a winning program again, let alone a consistent Top 25 program again, isn't something that will happen overnight.
But demanding CBJ's head or dropping the team at this point is foolish and short sighted. If that is the direction things go no major coaches will risk touching the job, and future recruits will go to other schools.
