Yellowstone (Paramount Network)

Honestly, most of this season's focus has been boring and apathetic. Monica is unbearable, and that petty jealousy crap was cringe-worthy. I have hopes that Jimmy's story takes an interesting twist, but blah, blah, blah right now. Now we have the vegan activist that sleeps with John then inexplicably gets out of the truck and goes on a walkabout... And, don't even get me started on the lame Jamie and his dad line, which goes from him ready to shoot him in cold blood to crying like a biznatch and handing over his weapon.

Did they loose all the writers from the first 3 seasons?

I think there are just episodes where they try to jam in too many things and move away from the main theme of the show . . . the land. The last episode had about 5 or 6 unrelated arcs going on at the same time: Protestor girl, Lloyd vs Walker, Kacey's house, Jamey and his Dad, Beth wants to move, Jimmy in Texas etc. Hopefully they'll weave it together a little better coming up because when the story moves away from Dutton vs. Rainwater vs. Market Equities, they are over complicating things IMO.

With only 4 episodes left this season, I certainly hope they pick things up a bit.

The Lloyd v Walker arc is getting tiresome, what's the point to it anymore? The Jamie and his dad getting the local militia to try and murder the Duttons is just stupid, with a bombing, street shootout and a militia the place would have been crawling with feds. Monica and the boy are just simply annoying.

Think that’s effectively over. Thought the removal of the cause source was long overdue.

Yeah, I still think they went overboard with Lloyd. Breaking his hand because he outlasted Walker, whom everybody wishes was dead? Monica is an annoying whiny pot, Tate acts like a three year old, Beth is rampaging against everyone except Rip and frankly not sure what her game is after firing her ex-boss, the stray kid is doing God-knows-what in this story and needs a change of clothes, Rip has killed one person albeit in style by throwing a rattlesnake at the villain, Jimmy is in west Texas getting insulted as bad as he was in Montana, some tree hugger shows up for no apparent reason and Jamie is just an emotional mess.

Mo is the only who has, so far, acted like he knows what the heck he is doing.

I still like it, but the suspension of disbelief required for the show is approaching pro wrestling level lol.

"You out kicked your coverage with that one!" is my favorite line of the season thus far.

The discussion Beth has with the girl at the bar gets an honorable mention.

My favorite was her conversation with Carter as his dad was dying. “Good speech. I like your style.” 😂

WTH was last night's episode about? Definitely time to dump the Jimmy angle!! Didn't need to see that!🤮 And how many times do we need to see a horse slide in the dirt. Not much of the main story line at all....mostly Beth doing her thing, which is cool and all, but where's this story going now......

Agreed, last nights episode was dumb. The show is really asking viewers to treat it like a sci-fi flick and suspend all reality.

As for the Jimmy angle, I'm betting on a spin off show coming from that.

There is a spin off coming called 6666. JImmys time on the ranch will be chronicled from what I heard, it will include Jimmy and Walker.

If I was John Dutton I would not want to subject myself to the scrutiny entailed in a run for public office.

If I was Jimmy I would be asking the 6666 girl if working with horses excites her.

Still waiting to see what the big tie in is with the Indian buried on the ranch and airport. I suspect a big reveal around the time of the 1883 premier.

Concerning the Avery/Monica thing; do Indians subscribe to multiple wives?

How did Walker's barrel rider manage to slither back in to the bunkhouse? She doesn't wear the brand.

[QUOTE= And how many times do we need to see a horse slide in the dirt.

Evidently Taylor Sheridan is quite proud of his horse riding skills.

I thought last night was much better. They got back to Beth and John Dutton doing whatever it takes which is the story line that the show thrives on. Obviously it's pointing toward a John Dutton vs. Jamie Dutton showdown. It's only a matter of time before everybody figures out who ordered the hit and the bullets will be flying once again.

...and yes, the I could have done without that horse scene, but that was about the most Jimmy thing ever lol.

Why on earth the barrel racing chicks were ever in the bunkhouse is inexplicable.
1) No way Rip would have allowed that drama.
2) No way anybody with any common sense would stay in that bunkhouse if they didn't work there.
