Yemi Passes the Test

Yemi's 6'9" - he definitely looked slightly taller than Stokes when they stood side by side. Yemi will be really special as an upper classman. When he knows what to do and how to do it he dominates. Great upside.

I think he'll be good as a junior and senior, if hall comes back and we bring in a post I wouldn't mind seeing yemi redshirt, I think it'd be great for him.

You can tell the potential is there, he is just very raw. The biggest thing I've noticed is that it isn't natural yet. It seems most things that occur he thinks out and then does, instead of it just being a natural reaction. That's something that will come with time though, he's still only a few years into playing BB.

The thing I love most is that he shoots free throws well. That tells me he has a natural touch. Which some post (Kenny Hall, Renaldo, Brian Williams) didn't have.

Yea you could tell it wasn't luck.

He did a good job taking his time, bending his knees and get his elbow under the ball, great rotation and a very nice touch.

If he can turn that into a little 15 foot jumper over the years that's be huge for his progression on the offensive end.

is gravy. He looks like he'll develop into a solid backup post at the least and that's very good, considering where he was this time last year. And, really, they shouldn't be looking to him to be a starter anyway. Should recruit over him by the time he's a junior.

Loved Yemi's effort tonight. He was solid in his role tonight despite the loss and he did well taking charges tonight but sometimes he was trying to take charges when it called for a block..
