i understand taking one from universitys viewpoint but as the player, either he seriously thinks he is gonna outwork the other guys or he doesnt care to be buried on depth chart. I am just saying

You can have rb by committee. It's not like you can only use one like a QB. RB is very physical and the more backs you have, the less they are beat up during games. Our RB depth is excellent right now. It needs to stay this way.

i think i was misunderstood. I think it speaks one of 2 things about this kids attitude. either he thinks he will out work the others or he just wants to ride the pine and get a free education. From one of the people who said they know him I will say he is taking the high road I always want someone who WANTS TO BE AT TENNESSEE. for the record I was just throwing a name out there for this thread.

I'm glad to have Neal. You always want a RB in the class, and I think he's got some potential after a year or two in a strength program. I think Stanley is gone, but hope I'm wrong. This has been a crazy year, so who knows?

ah I see. Well if he thinks he can get the start, more power to him. Maybe he comes in with a chip on his shoulder and really gets after it

Agree. We have lots of stars( recruiting stars that is). But no production yet. That's not their fault, they just got stuck behind won of the greatest seasons ever recorded by a tenn back. I think browns going to be good, but heck I thought Brian darden or jtrain would be good too.....

What ever happened to THE JTRAIN? They hype the hell out of him and don't remember ever hearing his name? Did he get kicked off , transfer or what? Thanks

Jabari Davis played but was way overrated. they wanted to move him to fullback but he refused. Fullback was his bset chance to get to NFL. He shared time with Cedric Houston till he graduated then Cedric shared withRiggs from then on. I could be mistaken.

I think Rajion Neal is making a very smart decision by becoming a Vol, of course I have a biased opinion. However, if I was a talented rb in this class with a chance to play for UT this would be my reasoning: Coming into college ball from high school is a big step, coming from high school to the SEC is an even bigger step. We are rebuilding and we are getting great coaches and great players that are going to make us competitive again. It may take 2 to 3 years for us to play for a title but I do believe we are on the path for that. 3 years down the road Neal could be the featured back after oku and brown leave, and he has an advantage since he has been in the system for years when that time comes. Giving him a good shot to be the stud rb on a championship vol squad. I don't think early pt is one of his main concerns or he wouldn't have signed on to begin with.

Out of curiosity can anyone who has followed the Vols recruiting over the last 5-7 years, list the guys who we thought were all vol and bailed at the last minute? Curious to see if any of those guys have gone on to be good college players.
