You either have dudes or you don’t.

I’m tired of the “we need players” argument. Yesterday wasn’t about players it was about play calling, adjustments, and execution. It was a failure all the way around.
Ok, Crazy grandma. We’ll put the magic flea flicker Statue of Liberty next time, and put helium in the ball on field goals.

We have a great collection of QB and WR. Our TE and RB are serviceable, if not elite.

But the game was decided in the trenches. No scheming or trickeration changes that. False starts, sacks, and general disruption of rhythm were evident. Carter alone destroyed us. And we don’t have one like him. Just your typical 5* from Florida that Georgia and Bama have grabbed every year. Thomas and Terry are decent DT and Young is a nice pass rusher. But Georgia’s DL was light years better than Alabamas. And for that matter, they are better than anyone else’s.

There is no shame in saying we belong in the playoff but also don’t match up well with Georgia. If they play like that every game, they are untouchable.
Our playcalling was not up to par yesterday. But O-line did us no favors

Yesterday's play calling looked off. No adjustments to make the GA defense pay for blitzing.
No Adjustments.?
What could they have done? You don’t think UGA can defend a screen?
You make them pay by EXECUTION of the plays that got 3 open on deep balls that likely led to points.

Based on yesterday the coaches would probably mess that up too. If it doesent fit your views of the game just say that.
That’s like saying it doesn’t fit my views on gravity. They beat us with superior talent and great execution. That’s not my view. It just is what it is.

If we win out and wind up 10-1, our boys in the trenches will all deserve medals. They've played above their paygrades.

The crowd noise was HUGE and can not be underestimated. Our on players repeatedly said so in post game interviews. It was terribly hard to make adjustments. Several pre snap penalties were cause from it.
Untimely rain hurt as well. It was raining hardest when we needed to play catch up and throw down field while Georgia was in ball control ground, run out the clock mode.
They hit big plays early, we did not capitalize on our early opportunities.
Their punt to the one yard line was a game changer.
Miss judgement on lack of depth by our returner was a critical mistake.

All that being said, I think there is a good chance we see them again in the playoffs.
Take care of our business, Georgia wins the SEC, we should be in with them being our only loss.

A neutral field, learning from our mistakes last night, being hopefully healthy, the results could be very well different from last night…….

Proud of our team, coaches players and all involved. Thanks for giving us an outstanding, exciting season at this point. 🧡
FORWARD we shall continue…….

Not having enough dudes is why I had this penciled in as an 8-4/9-3 season. But looky here, we've beaten 3 of the 4 I expected us to lose to. I mean, how many of us expected that? If CJH has them ready to play our game our way, with the match-ups talent wise the next three weeks, we can wrap up an 11-1 regular season and a NY6 bowl AT A MINIMUM. Heck of a year two in this rebuild, huh? CJH hasn't even really recruited his first class yet. The dudes will be arriving shortly.

We had the dudes for LSU. We had the dudes for Bama but not UGA? I have seen people use the talent excuse. UGA just has more “dudes” than we do. Interesting. Let’s look at the teams with the most blue chips, you know “dudes.” Surely UGA is the clear #1 right?

Hmmmm seems like UGA is significantly behind Bama when it comes to having “dudes” as you want to say. Now what does this tell us? Well #1, and this will certainly rustle many Jimmie’s on here, but Kirby Smart is an elite HC with an elite staff. They not only get the best players but more importantly develop them. Also, this chart tells us we simply got dominated by a superior team. Pretty simple.

Pass rush destroys chance of executing. Georgia knew this.

I disagree as UGA definitively has more talent and depth. Their DBs blanketed our WRs all day and their front four pressured Hooker. Heup and Co will grow and learn from this, similar to Kirby and his Dawgs last couple of years. It takes time.

Agreed. They haven’t had a game like that all year defensively. Last in the conference in sacks and all of a sudden they get 7….

Well, hell then, let’s just leave the actual players at home next time and roll with the cheerleaders. Surely a good coach can still scheme a way to win.

I agree. Way too many on this board are ready to pack it in and wait for national signing day. We didn’t play well. Period. The d-lines we’ve faced so far are a bunch of scrubs? I don’t think so. Our offensive line had a bad game at the worst time.

Heupel had no answer for Georgia going man to man with our wide receivers which allowed Georgia more in the box. Hooker didn't have time to stand in the pocket to allow long plays to develop.

Which is why I think if they play again this season the results will be similar if not worse.
