I'm as mad as anyone, that may be the worst loss of the Zo era simply because of how we choked it away.

However, that loss doesn't doom us to the CBI all of a sudden. I will guarantee we are still in the next updated brackets, and our RPI will still be decent. We obviously just made it a bit harder on ourselves, but to act as if there's no way this team can make the tourney now is simply overreacting.

This loss shaved the margin of error to razor thin. One more bad SEC loss and we're toast.

I wouldn't say worse. We are consistently inconsistent enough to where I think we could capture lightning in a bottle and find the NCAA.

Here's hoping...

My preseason mark for success this year was not sitting on the bubble at the end of the season. Right now that's not looking good.

It's definitely not over, but it's looking liking every other season. Shooting ourselves in the foot

Not to be Debbie Downer but after Auburn we have 4 straight tough games Kentucky, Arky, UF, and Ole Miss. We needed to start 3-0.

Did you predict us beating LSU on the road or Virginia at home by 30?

Point being, we are still in a spot to make the dance.

You wanna complain about the loss be my guest, but acting as if there's no chance to now make the tourney is foolish.

BTO, I get it, but I'm sick of this team going hot then cold, and I have no choice but to point to Martin. It's a recurring theme.

They just lost their opening home SEC game to an average AT BEST A&M team, in front of the largest crowd of the season. Good job getting the fans excited for the team.

We can still make the tournament. But judging from the way we have played, and the coaching display, it isn't negative to not expect us to make it. It's being realistic. This team is underachieving tremendously and that can be blamed solely on poor coaching. Plain and simple.

I disagree. I think this kills all the momentum we generated and that was a a really really really bad team we just lost to. I think we go 10-8 in conference and go to NIT and are probably looking for a new coach at end of season. This team is just too inconsistent to make a sustained run.

The season is not over but an average team like Tennessee cannot blow a 14 pt 2nd half lead at home against another mediocre team. The hill just became a lot steeper and this team has not shown the intensity or basketball intelligence to expect them to beat better teams in close games on the road.

They still miss too many lay ups, too many free throws, and take too many possessions off on defense to be consistent winners. So, no the season is not over but we can begin to see the end (no NCAA tourney bid) from here.

This team that just rolled into Knoxville and beat us lost by 20 to a 8-5 North Texas team. RPI killer. No excuse for blowing this game. This team came out flat in the 2nd half.

Oh I agree. That's what I'm saying, you wanna criticize coaching that's fine by me. Like I said, I am as upset as anyone, but I've seen about 100..."seasons over" "CBI here we come" "nit if we are lucky" type of posts and that's just premature.

It's not so much I don't believe we absolutely CANNOT make the NCAAT, it's that I don't trust Martin to get this team TO the NCAAT.

In other words, it's possible, yes, but Martin isn't giving me anything to base my faith in him on.

Texas AM is a bottom tier SEC program and we just coughed a double digit lead up. The season ain't over but the only chance we go dancing is if we win every game were favored in and steal one from uk or uf. Also, we best beat ole miss and sweep mizzou

The loss, as a result, isn't the most concerning thing for me BTO. It is the trend, and quite honestly this pattern has become predictable. Temper your expectations after we beat Florida or Kentucky folks, cus I'm sure we'll drop one to Vandy or South Carolina just to keep things interesting.

Totally agree with this. There are plenty of valid things to complain about after that abomination of a game, but it's just not accurate to say that we absolutely can't get in the tournament now.
