Your all missing the " boat " about how to fix the problem

I've been watching the Lady Vols for over 40 years and IMHO it can be summed up easily...This team is SOFT and totally devoid of focus or attention to detail that has served LV teams of the past very well..And yes, that starts with the Coach!! For a glaring example of just how soft, during a game just focus your attention solely on Mercedes Russell..After a few minutes it should show anyone all they need to see.. 6'6" playing like 5'2" and at times totally lost or just standing there watching (or reaching)..My wife even calls her the weakest post player with that much height that she can ever recall seeing anywhere, not just at UT..The total lack of hustle is appalling to me as a fan..I have/will always root for the Lady Vols but it is becoming routine to just watch them at home in front of the TV..6 hours round trip and the added expense of the trip is too much effort on our end to watch the LV effort on their end..
Are the Lady Vols still using their home team lockerroom?? Enough said

BTW jrye, you should tou're practices as well as games...

Again, JMHO as a frustrated fan...

I watched the Baylor and Texas game. And the only two offenses Baylor run is the side pick and roll and the one four flat but unlike us Baylor moves the ball and can hit shots

From the games I've watched this season which would be all but one I say we need to go to the one post offense and spread the court. A lot of pic and roll and drives for shots in the paint. Were to clogged in the middle with both Graves and Russell under the basket and neither move very well to get open for a pass that want be deflected. I'm moving Graves out of the post with a four player perimeter of Graves, Deshields, Cooper, and Carter. Then I am letting them create off the dribble for mid-range inside the paint jump shots and pic and roll plays to the basket.

Defense I am no longer switching and depending on Russell and Graves to defend any drives to the basket when players get around the player guarding them. I am not giving up threes rather give up 13 twos than 13 threes because that is a loss of 13 points. I am pressing that three point line to the limit especially against the 3 point shooting teams. I am double teaming the ball down the court then strict man to man defense with no switching with every player guarding their man the entire 40 minutes of the game.

This is exactly what we need. One structured offense that we execute to perfection. One less structured offense for the end of the shot clock / end of the qtr. Also need a structured zone strategy.

When I watch our offense, I have no clue what we are trying to accomplish. It's like we just screw around for 20 seconds and end up taking a difficult shot or making an ill advised post entry pass.
