Two things:
1. Thurl Bailey and Sidney Lowe were better than Larry Micheaux and Alvin Franklin.
2. The semifinal game between Houston and Louisville might be the most purely entertaining game in college basketball history.
wouldn't have helped my argument.

nah - not even remotely close.

Depends on your perspective, I suppose. But consider that UK was down by 16 and came roaring back in such amazing fashion, any basketball fan has to appreciate it.

Plus, Magloire bent that little wanker Wojo over. ;)

They replayed this game last night on the Big Ten Network. It was actually the first time I've ever seen it. I jumped out of my chair (almost as high as Smart) when he hit that jumper as if it was live. Oh, how I wish The General was still on the sidelines for IU, just like Jim Boehiem is for Syracuse. Probably would have at least one more of these puppies.

he was an injury to Alan Henderson, leading up to the tournament, away from having at least another.

true.

i usually try to avoid getting into the woulda, coulda, shoulda arguements.
I don't put May's injury in that category. That team didn't lose a game for two years with a healthy roster. Kitchel is open to debate, but they were knocked out of the NCAA Tournament by a team they had beaten earlier in the year. They beat the national runnerup twice with a healthy Alan Henderson in '93.
