Mine was at the Civic Coliseum in Knoxville.

1978; Eighth grade.

The first band was called Target.

The second band was Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band touring for Night Moves. I thought they played way too long but in retrospect it was a good show worthy of a headline.

Main band was Black Sabbath. Lot's of fog. Ozzy was the only one not dressed in black. He had a strobe gun for Iron Man. It was awesome.

It was the first time I smelled weed and saw it. Back then, rolling papers came in colors. There were pink joints, blue joints, yellow joints and of course white ones.

Good times it sounds like. First one I remember was when I was in 6th grade I went to see Korn at Phillips Arena.

Won tickets from the Boys & Girls Club back in '90 or '91 for Janet Jackson, me and my Mom went.

First actual concert that I paid for was AC/DC at Thompson-Boiling Arena in 1997.

Was a pretty amazing show, I remember Angus playing what had to be a 10 minute solo, making his way through the crowd onto a podium that lifted him about 10-15 feet in the air. Was pretty cool.

I've seen so many, it's hard to remember the first. Also, a long time ago. Would've been a MoTown thing. Smokey, 4 Tops, Ben E. King, Chuck Jackson, Tams or somebody like that.

Black Label Society should have been mainstage, Mythods/Godsmack/P.O.D./Static-X all suck.

QOTSA are great though, studio wise anyway, how where they in concert? Been listening to alot of them lately.

Back in the 60's WFLI in Chatt used to put on Concerts at Memorial Auditorium. I attended two of the shows in 68 and 69 that featured Paul Revere and The Raiders,Grassroots, Guess Who and others.

I was only 8 or 9 but I thought it was very cool.

Wish I could find a list of all the bands that played in those shows.

When I was a kid my parents took me to a Willie Nelson show (I think in Jackson, TN?).

The first show I saw on my own was Joan Jett opening for Aerosmith at Starwood in Nashville. That was the spring of '90 not long after I turned 18.

Coincidentally, I went to my first ever gentlemen's club after the show. Deja vu.

It was a helluva night.

My first was mid 70's - John Denver at Stokely. First time I had ever seen, or smelled weed, too.
