I can vividly remember my first movie experience..my Dad, who said they used to spend all day at the movies when he was a kid, took me to see Gus, it was a film about a donkey that could kick field goals..amazing! I remember thinking that was the largest TV in the world

My first movie that I saw after I got my license and car was Breakin 2(how exciting was it to get to pick what movie without taking a family vote :) )

My first R rated movie was Eddie Murphy's Raw..friend and I had to buy tickets for something else and sneak in

Unfortunately we don't go to many anymore..I have a theatre room and my popcorn tastes better and is a 100 times cheaper
What was some of your guys first films, either with family or on your own?

My babysitter and older cousin took me to see Superman at an old theater that no longer exists.

Do you mean the first time we went to the movies?

If so, then mine was The Black Cauldron. Or at least that's the earliest I remember. Couldn't have been more than 6 or so.

If you meant just in general, then I have no idea. I can sort of remember seeing E.T. when I was really little

The earliest I remember is Splash, that one with Tom Hanks in 1984. I was too young to really get it.

The Jungle Book in 67 or 68, at the Tennessee. A couple years later, mom bought the album (I guess what you would call an audio book today). I remember listening to it over and over and over. Great movie.

The first drive-in movie I remember seeing was the Planet of the Apes. We saw it at that drive-in on Broadway behind the Kmart. Still remember the blankets layed out for us kids in the back of mom and dad's 1962 Chevy II station wagon. The good ol' days.

Something Disney and some time in the 60s - likely contenders include Song of the South, the Jungle Book, Snow White or Cinderella.

The first one I remember is either some Raggedy Ann and Andy movie or a Rainbow Brite movie.

I'm pretty sure I saw more before, but the first movie I remember seeing at the theater was Reds. Went with my mom. No clue why she would think that I would've liked that at 5 years old

My earliest movie theatre memories are

Empire Strikes Back
The Fox and The Hound
ET (which I saw about 5 times in the theatre because my mom loved it too)
Return of the Jedi
Ghostbusters

The earliest I remember is Flash Gordon I was 4 or 5 I guess. I remember because when he stuck his hand in the stump I yelled at the screen, "no Flash don't" My mom promptly snatched me up and made me leave the theatre. I was so mad.
