I don't remimber the number of years it has been that we were UT fans. However, my favorite times began in "WOW" 1963. Our two kids were starting on their first trek for higher education. All in one, Pride of the Southland Band,
Rockie Top, and Football at Tenn. Roaring crowd of Orange. :p

GO VOLS!!!

Well I am left out here. I am one of the only people on here to never go to a UT game? I have many chances to go to them when they played florida and SC, just something always comes up. I looking for this streak to come to an end soon. Milo and I are going to the rose bowl this year when tennessee gets the bid.

1985 in Lexington. 42-0 UT. The problem was I was rooting for UK. Hey, I was only 6. As for my first game in Neyland without the blue and white, Marshall in 2003. I think UT won 34-24.

Here's a look at Hackney

VIB, that pic doesn't do Hackney justice. What is he, 260 pounds? Very mobile and a cut 260. He will give us some fits in September. I hope we don't overlook UAB or we'll end up like LSU did a couple of years ago.

Oh, my first UT game was UCLA in Memphis in the '60s. Dewey Warren was our QB and Gary Beban was UCLA's QB.

I am aborting the VN because thru reading this particualar topic shows me why I cannot communicate with these people. The youth and inexperiance of this particular piece of the fanbase knows nothing about the "real" Tennessee football history with most of the first games being attended in the 90's. Does anyone know the details of Neyland, Hack Mack and Dodd, who George Cafego is, Lauricella/Atkins/Michaels/Gordon/Majors/Poflofsky, the history of Dickey, Dewey Warren, Reynolds-Kiner-Majors 2&3, etc. They don't get it and they can't be taught to get it because because they don't know what to get. You will not miss me and for people like Beltway Bob and 2345 I will not miss them. For with youth comes inexperiance and with inexperiance come mistakes. God bless the attempt the VN makes but in too many cases the comments being stated is only opinion. They don't want or accept the facts because they quite simply know no different. Thanks for the chance to try to enlighten you, as in some cases you have enlightened me, but the lack of factual knowledge is simply too rampant for me to deal with any more. And oh by the way, my first game was the Tn vs UCLA game in 65' at the Liberty Bowl. Thanks and God Bless, Sarge. ( and should CRS ever leave, maybe, we could have another of these photos.) (( and obviously the youth of today believes in different things than I do in many socio-economic, multi-cultural ways.))

So now our opinon doesn't count because we are young?

and yes I know who all of these players are. Don't test my knowledge of the vols because I have a diffrent opinon than you do. You will be missed though, there is no doubt about it, its just some of your opinons are to crazy, and then the racist comment you stated last night was unacceptable.

But don't leave because we had an arguement last night. No reason to get all offensive over that.

So basically he's leaving because the fan base is young???? Ok? Tell me why that matters again. I might only be 18 but I know the history of UT including the names listed. These are the best games we've ever BEEN TO. Nobody can help how old they are.
