I won't make a judgment on being happy until there's a resolution. You never know what can happen with a coaching search.

I would consider myself indifferent. It's not cool for media to bash the athletic department, right or wrong, and have to put up with a few jokes here and there on twitter. At the same time, I don't think Martin was going to do anything here and I don't think he is going to do anything at Cal.

I honestly believed we were on our way down after this season. It may turn out to be a good thing for us.

I am indifferent. I am happy for him and I understand why he left. We did get lucky and the team finally put it together for that sweet 16 run. If it was not for that Cuonzo's tenure would have been underachieving IMO. Let's see who we hire, and I hope the fans don't sign another dang petition in the new coach's third year.

Also, to please this fan base the new coach better have a ton of energy.

I don't care that he's gone. Even if you have a good message, it shouldn't take an entire season to get it across to your players. Yes, the new coach needs a lot of energy and be able to infuse that into the team.
Face it, Cuonzo was dull.

Sad thing is, the disillusioned fan base come on here in droves posting uninformed thoughts that actually influence recruits, players and coaches, alike. There's no way it goes without notice. I wonder sometimes how Freak feels about that. As I said, I'm not sorry to see him go, but I shudder to think that the fan base nudged him out.

I think Gregg Marshall is more of a pipe dream. We've passed him over twice. I don't see him giving us a 3rd chance. If there is one big name that UTK can get, it would be Ben Howland, and that's only because he's unemployed.

Shocked if anything. Dont see Cal doing anything in basketball with or without Martin. I think the next hire will be as capable of doing anything Cuonzo did here. Actually excited to see who we hire, but its a little much having a coaching search every few seasons. ..

Mike Miller has played two 82 game seasons in his career: his rookie season and this season. Hard to believe he's been the healthiest player on the team this year.
