Your Memphis Grizzlies Basketball Thread III

You’ve got it all figured out man. Better than a first ballot hall of famer. More knowledge than a perennial coach of the year candidate. Definitely not just another guy sitting on his couch bitching on the internet.

They lost the game last year force feeding Vescovi when he couldn't get open. Barnes has done a great job here but this team right now isn't built for a March run. He don't have the pg this year...

The good news is that they will still play the games and I’ll probably get to watch them and that’ll be cool

I dont want Dillon Brooks playing 42 mins a game in the playoffs and I don't want ZZ playing 35 at PG..

Both players are going to be counted on to play bigger roles than their skillet allows due to roster construction..

He lost this game when he JJJ on the bench with 5 mins to go...

He had to rest him so JJJ would have the energy to watch Embiid hustle on that last loose ball and get a fast break dunk. I don't think JJJ even crossed half-court and he and Embiid were standing next to each other when the scramble started.

The only thing the two teams have in common is the point guard needing to pass the ball

It seemed like Ja did try passing the ball when he was off in the 1H. He kicked out to Bane a couple of times where I thought he was going to get to the rim - Bane just couldn't knock them down. It seemed like he struggled to know what to do in the 4Q given he wasn't hitting anything but neither was anyone else.

He is 5th in the league in assists per game.

(He's likely top 10 in attempts too)

I get the sarcasm, but JJJ has to be everywhere on the defensive end for them. He is not lazy, imo.

When teams switch small onto JJJ, Ja has got to get him the ball. Period. This goes both ways as JJJ needs to demand the ball in those situations...

It’s a shame that the Laker fans coming from Jonesboro, Cape Girardeau, and Tupelo dropped $700+ and spent all that money on gas to not see Lebron play tonight.
