Your Memphis Grizzlies Basketball Thread III

I'm not there because I just don't see a lot of options to get a realistic return.

Realistically, it has to be a team with a PG need with a high end young asset.

Boston - Jaylen Brown
Orlando - Paolo
Minny - Ant
New Orleans - Zion
Phoenix - Booker
Toronto - Barnes

Ant and Zion already have conditioning issues. Booker plays same role as Bane. Barnes and their picks ain't enough.

Less likely, it could be a team with a valuable pick stash of not their own picks

1. Houston - Taking huge leap of faith Brooklyn will be awful in the future

2. OKC - Not sure of fit with Shai unless you are receiving Shai in return.

3. Utah - You trust our front office trading with Ainge?

He doesn’t have trade value right now

And as far as “pennies on the dollar” goes.. team did just fine with Tyus so I’m not talking down on acquiring Fox

If they put Ja on the block right now (even with all these issues), they'd get a lot more than Fox..

Much like Zion, Ja makes the franchise much more valuable from local TV rights negotiation perspective....

A year from now, we may regret not trading Ja, when his career falls apart and we didn’t get anything in return. I’m at that point. He’s a young, dumb kid.

We’ve accelerated straight through poor decisions into willfully being a dumbass. The pool doesn’t have a bottom.

If he is really that far gone, you would think the other 29 teams would already know that..

It’s not really the time from a value standpoint but as an organization they had to have been aware of these events and his demeanor

Either do something before which would take serious balls they don’t have or (at this point) you probably just have to ride it out

Yeah, I view this like Ted DiBiase. Everybody's got a price. Fox and his history of not making winning plays isn't that price IMO...

This Grizzlies team really needs some type of veteran presence not named Dillon Brooks...

At this point I would take SGA in a heartbeat but I think the Thunder hang up..

You mean like Adams. It’s so weird that he’s on this team with no locker room influence.

Adams is really the only *sane* veteran on this team. Dillon is clearly the emotional leader which explains a lot...

Des and JJJ both defer to Dillon on the court.

I watched the video. I'm not naïve to think that athletes don't party, but why livestream naked chicks grinding and you gun flashing? Just dumb.

Vernon getting trucked on Twitter. I looked to see if he even commented and was surprised he did. But didn’t name Ja nor what happened specifically.

He knows who butters his bread.
