Your Memphis Grizzlies Basketball Thread III

Dave could be next.

Edit. Calkins says he's safe. Bill Simmons says Pera wants to trade for Thibodeau.

Bizarre situation

From what I've heard (from people who generally know their stuff), Levien is poison to pretty much any franchise he touches. His presence in Memphis is one reason I was skeptical of some of their 2013 offseason moves. So as far as I'm concerned, this is a good day for the Grizz.

Grizzlies fire CEO Jason Levien, assistant GM Stu Lash

This is the best info I found.

Bill Simmons is the one that brought up the Thibs rumor. Geoff Calkins says he spoke to Chris Wallace and he said that Dave is safe.

According to a second person with knowledge of the situation, Pera even conducted end-of-season player meetings at a hotel and independent of the front-office and coaching staff after the season. Typically, players meet with a team's general manager and head coach.

Fire up the circus music.

That's fine with me, but I hope your not thinking that letting Lionel go was a poisonous move?

In what regard?

Today, some caller called in to Hasseltine and brought up Hollins and Hasseltine blew up on him and had an utter meltdown.

People who work with him hate him, and he has the unfortunate combination of a lack of basketball knowledge and a huge ego that won't let him admit it. I'm not really sure what to think of Mincberg, but I definitely prefer Wallace to Levien.
