Gotta love that voice. Have you heard the new one, American Central Dust, yet? It is amazing.

I actually haven't yet but you are in a growing list of people who have raved about to me. I definitely am going to check it out.

Anyone ever listen to Carbon Leaf? Discovered them when I lived in Va Beach and just recently rediscovered them. Indian Summer is a good cd.

When were you in Va Beach? That's home for me but I did live in the DC area for a while. Carbon Leaf is huge up there and in MD. They are always playing a big show on patty's day, The Boxer is the song as I always think of when I hear Carbon Leaf.

Do they sing that mason dixon song? If so, I dig it...

Also add Pat Mcgee to the most underrated list.

Cherryholmes, maybe not underrated but most people haven't heard of them because their bluegrass.

I've been a fan of Seven Mary Three since the mid 90's.

I went to ODU for grad school and lived there in '06-'07. Would love to move back one day.

Glad you enjoyed it. I took it for granted growing up until I went to UT. As much as I loved my time in Knoxville, spending your entire life 10 minutes from having your feet in the sand has a way of spoiling you. It doesn't always have to be here but I can see myself ever permanently settling down to far from an ocean.

i'm sort of in the same boat. I thought I missed the mountains too much and didn't think that much of Va Beach while I was there. Now I want nothing more than to get back there. Got to visit for a couple of days last week and it was all that I remembered. Plus seeing ODU's new football stadium got me very excited.

At first I found it funny how excited people around here were getting about ODU getting football but I must admit they are doing it the right way. Got a chance to meet the coach a while back and he is very impressive, it'll be interesting to see how it turns out.

A couple of my older favs that many people don't know: Morphine and the V-Roys. More current bands/artists: Howie Day, Damien Rice, and Lucero.

funny I was listening to the V-Roys this morning on the drive to work.

The first three albums are good. There's a lot of pretty crappy studio stuff after that.
