Some of these underrated artist you guys mention from a few years ago are far from underrated. C'mon, Alice in Chains? Chicago has had numerous #1 albums let alone sold well over 100 million albums . Dire Staits as well. Both of those groups are up top when it comes to album sales.

Shannon Hoon had an unbelievable voice. The band altogether just had a great, very unique sound.

Not necessarily "underrated" as they are fairly new, but not many people know of the Punch Brothers. I really think they may be the most talented collection of musicians performing right now. If you have the chance to catch a show, do. You won't be disappointed.

Uh duh... one of the better local bands to come out of K-town! Also: Royal Bangs.

-The Sonics (perhaps the most underrated of all)

Why in the hell do Chicago and Chevelle keep popping up? They had their time in the sun AND made their bank.
