Your Opinions About the 2025 Season

I am not really worried about the defense unless Banks leaves. Nico is gonna be one of the best QBs in the SEC next year. My biggest concern about the team, and call me crazy if you like, is center. We all know Coop makes this offense go. If Elarbee hasn’t coached up a good replacement for next year, this offense could be significantly worse.
Agree, but Elarbee hasn't developed anyone they have recruited out of high school.

Gonna need some portal help on the OL, RB, and DL imo.

That being said, we have a lot of returning talent all over the place and top 10 recruiting class incoming. Nico should be better and can/should carry us.

Three main keys to 2025 for me:
- Nico has to do a few things...has to add some muscle mass to help with getting banged up, needs to grow a little more mentally so the game 'slows' down even more, and he needs to spend as much time as possible in the film room studying things he didn't see this year like defenders in zone coverages.
- O Line has to fill in some big, big holes...most notably Mays at Center. As we all recall from last year and little this year, the Center makes this engine run. We also need our young guys to grow and be more disciplined...can't have Heard killing drives on 2nd down with offsides.
-WRs...need the young guys like Mathews and Brazell step up and take their rightful place

I think Banks has the Defense well in hand and would not be surprised at all to see even more out of that group.
Special Teams has a chance to be truly special if we get Boo and another Dee Williams type guy as returners.

Offensive line is my biggest concern. Defensive line a little less so but we'll lose a lot there. Otherwise pretty solid roster. I would hope that the offense starts to resemble 2021-2022 again.

Offense will be more stable I believe.

D will take a step back

Basically, everything will even put to about the same. Maybe one game worse record
I think the defense will be very strong next year. They have recruited well and younger guys are beginning to get experience. Offense should be better, but we lose a lot of experience on the Oline. We will have to see what happens in the Winter workouts and how well the replacements fill the gaps. It would bench to have enough experience to rotate Olines in the future, similar to what the defense has done this year.

I know, I know, this season has a few more months to go. And yes, transfer portal and NIL can help/damage a program a lot in between seasons. That being said, if you had to bet the farm, do you think next years team will be better, worse, or about the same?
Much worse. Sampson is likely gone. Cade will be nearly impossible to replace and we'll have to replace our OL from the portal. Takes kids a year or two to adjust to our offense. Gonna lose a ton of talent on the DL as well. Better enjoy what's left of this season. Next year might be more than a little ugly.

Linebackers will be another year older.
Edges will still be good
CB will be a strength
Interior will be young at the 2s and 3s
Slaughter needs emerge at safety or move Boo.

Offense will be stout.
Faster offense with Matthews, White, Brazzell leading the way.
Davis and Staes at TE will be lethal and Brame can run a little wildcat QB
Heard returns at LT and a lot of aged guys on the online 2 or 3 years growing…

Nico older and stronger.

Well be one of the best teams in the country.

Will play calling improve? Yea, because more trust in the players
Slaughter plays for Arkansas

One thing you guys aren't talking about is the very real possibility that we will lose Tim Banks after this year. He wants to be a head coach, and after this year's performance by our defense, there will be plenty of suitors that come knocking. If Banks leaves, that changes everything for next year.
