Your thoughts on the this shirt (VOLS/SC)....

I wouldn't buy the shirt, but the win is significant. It is the beginning. And we've been waiting on it for a long time.

Those of you who think we need to "act like we've been there" apparently don't see were we've been.

Yo, your ladyship, just saying as a LOOOONNNGGG time Vol fan, I know where we used to be, where we went, and where we're coming from. And I know USCe too and our history with them. They got lucky the past few years, sure. But they just don't rate a freaking T-shirt. They just aren't all that. Spurrier propped them up from the poop infested chicken pen they call home, but it's still just a chicken pen. They feasted on the bucket of popcorn we dropped when we stumbled, bumbled and fell, then had trouble getting off the ground. But they never were more than pen confined chickens being raised for nearly annual fried meat or soup dinners. They just don't rate a T-shirt. Soon we'll be picking their bones again for shreds of meat.
Just reminding your ladyship of who we are and what they are.

Unlike Kentucky our fans didn't storm the field. The shirt is perfectly fine to celebrate this team and staff's first big win.

Only because our fans have been cowed by that florida tool, Mike Slive (at the insistence of the turdly Jeremy Foley).

No, the shirt is absurd. You just said you wouldn't buy it. There's a reason for that.

We've been down for a while but a t-shirt celebrating a win over South Carolina is a bit much.

I agree with you. We need to remember who we are and act like it. Beating Vandy and USCe should not be measuring sticks for celebration. I understand Saturday's win was a big win, but I would rather think about it in terms of beating a ranked team vs. beating USCe.

I can see it for younger fans who have never seen the Vols at their best but OP has it right for us older guys, being KY fans and all. As another poster said get a win next week over No. 1 Bama at their place and oh yeah get me a T-shirt!

I'm not making the shirts, buying the shirts or even approve of the shirt.....

I feel like many of you--we are above this shirt, that said I think it's interesting to take a look at where outsiders consider the state of our program (ie-Footballfanatics).

Looking around on football fanatics and just saw they put up a new shirt for sale......

I was there and it was awesome, but It would make me feel like a UK fan to have one of these....

your thoughts?

I'd like to have a house full (12 or so) just like it for each year.

FWIW, I don't think its just a UT thing. I've seen Penn State and a couple of other schools with similar shirts after upsets. I guess Fanatics or whoever makes them has a template.

Imagine going back in time to 2001 and telling a UT fan that in the year 2013 this shirt would exist.

We beat both. SIAP.

Vandy wishes they were SC.

I'll save it for the big bowl victory. Then I will happily buy a shirt. This almost the equivalent of the "geeks shall inherit the earth" gimmick.

That shirt is kind of embarrassing to me. Yeah it was great to win, but I'm not strutting around in a shirt made for a win over south Carolina.
