Our lines in the late 90/ had multiple first rounders probably the best.

I was just thinking of them. I don't know if he was the first to coin the term, but, according to this article (Tennessee Is Fueled by Ground Chuck : College football: However, Webb may desert Volunteers for the NFL if he has a big sophomore season. - Los Angeles Times), Tennessee's offensive line "was called the Tennessee Valley Authority last year by Bill Curry, then Alabama's coach, and now at Kentucky. [That line was] strongest at tackle, with Charles McRae, 6-7 and 291 pounds, and Antone Davis, 6-4 and 310 pounds."

In the same article, then-Colorado Coach Bill McCartney offered some exceedingly high praise for Chuck Webb: "He's the best thing since Barry Sanders (Oklahoma State's Heisman Trophy winner in 1988). He's a 200-pounder who can flat-out do it. He's a sure-fire great, great player of the highest order. They don't get any better than this guy."

Andy Reid mentioned what they liked about Fulton is that they feel they can use him at center, guard or tackle. Not crazy about comparisons, but that type of versatility reminds me of former Chief and future hall if famer Will Shields.

The most under achieving line in a UT history, things get serious when it comes down to providing food, clothing, and shelter.

Getting sick of hearing this. That was statistically one of the very best pass protection offensive lines over their years here. Their run blocking was only hampered by the lack of respect defenses had to show our passing game last year... too many defenders in the box to block them all. They were the best part of our offense. Our receivers were rarely open against man to man coverage. That will change this year, but please quit putting an outstanding offensive line down.

Seen on ESPN yesterday that James and Dallas Thomas will both are projected starters for the Dolphins Offensive line. Of course Pouncey is out right now.

Pre knee injury, Chuck Webb was UT's all time best RB. CJM has said his biggest mistake as a coach was red-shirting CW. The treatment of knee injuries back then was not on par with today. Such a shame the NFL never saw CW's best.
