Zach Rogers Drafted?

He's got great speed, good hands, he's a good route runner, and a smart player. He's doesn't have ideal size or much wiggle once the ball is in his hands but that the only real negatives I can think of. I think someone will take a shot on him in the last couple rounds but if not he will definitely be in someones camp.

Not sure if he's drafted. Would be shocked if he's not in a team's camp though. He's the prototypical slot receiver.

Goodness, just cause he's white doesn't make him = Wes Welker... They're 2 completely different players. Zach Rogers is a deep threat, Wes Welker is everything but, unless he runs a slant and breaks it. ZRO beats people deep. Welker is a special teams threat, ZRO hasn't really been put in that situation. I like Zach Rogers, and this shouldn't be misconstrued as negativity towards him, I just hate how people see that he's white, and Welker's white and assume they're the same person. Edelman of the Patriots is a Welker clone, but ZRO is a deep threat. I think he deserves to get drafted, he's a really underrated talent.

The Patriots will pick him up undrafted and turn him into Wes Welker but I think Rogers has a higher ceiling and would make a good fit in New England.

Rogers has a higher ceiling than who? Welker?

You realize that Welker has an outside shot at the HOF if he stays productive for some more years, right?

I agree that he'd probably do well in NE, but let's ease up on the expectations a bit.

I wonder if he gets a Combine invite? How do the invites work? Anyone know? Is it based off stats or hype?

Anyone think he will be? I would think based on his performance this year and speed he would be worth using a sixth or seventh rounder on. Maybe a poor man's Wes Welker?

Yes, he will be drafted. In my opinion, as early as the 4th, as late as the 7th, depending on how he performs in the combine. If he works his butt off, we will be saying "Wes who?"

Zach is going to be a steal for someone. He had the bad luck to play with super stars in college but he's a fine receiver who's got speed and shone improvement every year. He's a good value player who is undervalued at this time and whoever takes him in the draft or as a free agent will definitely get their money's worth.

He's extremely fast, runs good routes, and has developed good hands. He will absolutely be drafted, and my guess would be no later that the 4th round.

I don't its cause he is white I think its cause they both run routes really well and hard everytime. Yes rogers is more of a deep threat but there is more than that to rogers.

There may be more than that to Rogers, but there's NOT more than that to Welker. He's honestly not a deep threat. Yes, he has had a deep ball once or twice in his career, but he's a special teams guy turned into a posession WR. Zach Rogers is a deep threat, down the middle of the field. He has had some posession games, but he's a guy who is going to be in the endzone all the time. Welker and Rogers are the same if route running and work ethic are the only things compared. If there is more compared, they are not similar other than size and skin color.

I have posted this before, he reminds me of Nate Washington.

The most consistent player on this years squad. I don't think he'll be drafted, but I think he'll be able to make a practice squad.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him on Sundays within 3 years. The guy is solid all the way around.

Around 335 players are invited according to an article I read. CBS sports has him as 7th rounder or Free Agent. They list him as the 36 best WR prospect and 303 overall. If those projections hold, he should get an invite.

I think Zach gets by more on his athleticism and smarts than his speed..if his speed were great than he'd be up higher on a draft board. I'd see him being undrafted and possibly on a practice squad--the Welker and Amandola comparisons are a little far fetched.
