ZZ write Sheppards a$$ out last SaturdayI wanna give Dicky V a pass because he probably is going a little bit ,but I mean this list is ridiculous
The All-Dickie V Super Six point guards of 2023-24
These six floor generals are the best in the college basketball biz now.www.espn.com
His rankings of PGs in the country:
Dajuan Harris
Tyler Kolek
Tristen Newton
Reed Shepperd
Braden Smith
Isaiah Stevens
Ofc none of this matters, all that matters is getting to Pheonix, but ZZ is a better defender than all of those and probably a top 3 PG in the country

ZZ has proven everyone wrong with Tennessee being the only major school to offer him. He has performed above initial expectations. A NBA team will take a flyer on him for the G league and ZZ will force his way onto a NBA roster in short time. He is someone I wouldn’t bet against.I think his list is his version of the " best pg who will make it to the next level "
ZZ is a great college player and All-SEC, but most likely won't be in NBA.
Assists is typically the #1 stat associated with PG my dude…you’re also ignoring the fact ZZ’s stats are greatly effected by starting the year out recovering from an injury, you may wanna check out their conference stats compared to each other.Im confused here... now let me first agree i'd take ZZ over all of these guys. But to say he was done dirty because someone left him off the list?
Using Reed Shepherd as an example. Outside of assists ZZ 5.5 vs his 4.2 he leads ZZ in every other category.... points, rebounds, steals by a good amount and leads him in shooting percentages by 20 points both from the field and from 3. He's a freshman. So youre all saying its crazy that a guy that averages more points, more rebounds, more steals, more blocks and fewer turnovers. he also 53% period from the feild and 3....ZZ averages 38 and 33percent from the feild and 3 respectively. He shoots slightly better from free throws and dishes out a couple more assists.. thats the only stats he wins in. So how can one say that a Freshman who is statistically better in pretty much all the things that define a PG does not deserve to be on the list ahead of a more experienced guy?
Yes ZZ is a better player but these guys have to go off stats.
Assist numbers in college basketball are way different in college than the NBA and are not always as indicative of how well a PG is doing his job at this level. In the NBA if you gave a passing glance at the ball the week before the shot was made you get an assist.Assists is typically the #1 stat associated with PG my dude…you’re also ignoring the fact ZZ’s stats are greatly effected by starting the year out recovering from an injury, you may wanna check out their conference stats compared to each other.
