ZZ IS TOPS

Is the VOLS outstanding heart & soul Zakai Zeiger the key ingredient missing from recent NCAA disappointments?
The difference could be seen in the considered nonchalance of NBA Lottery Draft pick Kennedy Chandler's missed free throws when they were sorely needed contrasted with the exuberance of the young dynamo who has labored in the shadow of the prized 5 star recruit. KC may be too cool for the required emotional desire to make the VOLS a contender in tournament basketball.
The clip on ESPN MCBB "'WORDS CAN'T EXPLAIN' HOW BADLY ZEIGLER, UT WANTED WIN" says it all. "ZZ is the TOP VOL when it comes to heart & soul" shouts JJJ interrupting the ESPN interview.
If ZZ can infect this team with more enthusiasm, there is a far better chance at a Sweet 16 and above NCAA Tourney outcome. KC is a real asset and key player but he performs like a guy who is already out the door on the way to the NBA with little desire to motivate his teammates in the post season.
Is ZZ's desire and enthusiasm more vital than KC's 5 Star elite credentials when it comes to willing the VOLS to victory? Talent, focus, and effort are minimum requirements but raw desire and emotional investment are difference makers. If 4 or 5 VOLS catch the ZZ enthusiasm virus it could power this year's team to here to fore unexperienced heights. I have become an enthusiastic ZZ fan and I don't recall another VOL who compares to ZZ in the desire department.
I’m not really sure how you can judge KC so poorly to the point he’s to cool?? The dude is a beast and struggles to hit free throws. Most college kids do struggle with free throws.
But to your original point, ZZ is an absolute beast! He is the heart and soul and pushes this team with his intensity. He definitely is our X factor. But KC can do things that honestly most players can’t so he’s our trump card.

Amsler played fullback, but he did get tackled by 2 cops after he jumped out of his car and ran, drunk
Hey dog I got that the real Greg amslerr was a really good football player then I should have said he probably missed some blocks in his games. Taking a shot at Chandler is hard to accept .

So you did or didn’t see a fullback miss 2 tackles in a game? Because you seem confused, both about whether you saw Amsler miss tackles or blocks…as well as about who took a shot at Chandler and who was making fun of the person who took a shot at Chandler (psst…I was doing the latter. I thought it was obvious).

All of which makes the “ignorant poster” comment just a wee bit ironic. 😘

Kennedy Chandler makes ZZ better. ZZ always plays PG and his defensive assignment is the smallest guy on the other roster. When ZZ enters KC generally moves to his secondary position. They complement each other.

If either one wasn’t on the team, most likely the better of the two rosters would be the one with Chandler. But we really don’t need to have the which one is better comparison. TN is lucky to have them both. The total is better than the sum of the parts - or something.

Absolutely. Synergy…

KC , ZZ and Santi are the best tri-guard group UT has ever had IMHO. All of them are integral to this teams success. Tournament time will show how special our guards are. Now if our Bigs will continue to play complimentary basketball and give UT 25 points and 30 rbs a game, this team can make some serious noise. That 2nd half defense against Auburn and against KY a few weeks ago is elite. The scoring droughts need be shortened and limited, if this team can find its offense, watch out!

Bone, Bowden, Turner have to be considered

True, but Barnes did not run a 3 guard lineup with them that often, but if he had, then yes they would be right there with the (3) we have now....
Ummmmmmmmm ... maybe. On the other hand, maybe he did try it and it just did not work for that team.

For this team ... currently it is difficult to handle ... when players are not fresh. (late in the first half or ... midway through the 2nd half)
This is a great chess move my RB and staff ... Auburn tried some things ... with some success. Others will keep looking for a way to deal with the 3 headed monster.

I think Auburn is a better 'team' than Kentucky, right now. (I think Kentucky has better talent, but their 'team' chemistry is not great.)
On a neutral floor with excellent refs ... I would team rank a round robin record in this order: TN, Auburn, Ky, Arkansas
GBO

He had a really good front line with Alexander, Williams, and Admiral and possibly Fulky but I lose track of the times he’s been hurt. They did run Bone, Bowden, and LT together at times.
