Tennessee Vols Commitment Round Up

Here is the current list of Tennessee commitments with their status as of November 5th. Feel free to post comments with additions, omissions, or corrections. I plan to keep this updated as we move through coaching changes towards signing day.

Name Status
Antonio Foster
De-committed and committed to Georgia Tech
Aubrey Phillips
Still committed to Tennessee but playing the waiting game to see what happens.
Zach Rogers
Solid to Tennessee.
Bryce Petty
Solid to Tennessee.
Damien Thigpen
Still committed to Tennessee. Claims he won’t consider other schools. It’s worth noting that he is friends with current Vol QB recruit Tajh Boyd.
David Oku
Still committed to Tennessee as long as they have a similar style of offense. He will take a hard look at the system the new coach brings in.
DJ Hunter
Still solid to Tennessee. Doesn’t plan to take any other visits.
DJ Swearinger
Still considered committed and said he committed to the program no the coach, but has been looking at South Carolina for a while.
Dominiqe Allen
It’s long been thought that he’s heading to LSU. There are conflicting reports right now about his commitment status. This was going on long before the coaching changes.
DT Shackleford
Still committed but unsure what to think. Another wait and see.
Edwin Herbert
Solid to Tennessee
Jarvis Giles
He is sill committed but won’t likely end up at Tennessee. Giles is very close to Stan Drayton and it’s probable that the two will end up together. (mid-termer)
Jerod Askew
Unsure. Has not been available for comment and has not spoken with any of the other Tennessee recruits. A definite red flag.
Je’Ron Stokes
Still committed to Tennessee but acknowledges other options. Seems to be solid unless he just really doesn’t like the new staff.
JerQuari Schofield
Solid to Tennessee.
Johnathan Hollins
Still solid to Tennessee. (mid-termer)
Kevin Revis
Solid to Tennessee.
Nigel Mitchell-Thornton
Still committed to Tennessee but admitted to keeping options open. Was recently contacted by Florida. (mid-termer)
Tajh Boyd
Still solid. His high school coach confirmed he is still committed to Tennessee. Boyd was quoting as saying he believes Tennessee will bring in another coach ‘just as good’.
Toney Williams
Still committed but his stock is really rising and he is hearing from a lot of other schools right now. He claims to be disappointed with Fulmer’s dismissal and is looking around a bit. Mike Hamilton called Toney to assure him that his scholarship stood regardless.
