Hendon Hooker's Heisman Trophy Winner odds weigh in at 60/1 in Caesars Sportsbook odds released this afternoon.

Here's a brief video clip:

Hooker finished last season with stats that made him the SEC'S #1 rated quarterback. His QBR was 182.2 which put him over both National Championship winner Stetson Bennett and Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young as well as finishing ahead of the highly touted Matt Corral.

Some responses see these early odds as underrating Tennessee's Heisman hopeful but for us VolNation faithful,
no matter the outcome of prospective individual awards, things are looking good for an exciting season in 2022 for our favorite team
with Hendon Hooker at the helm.

Go Vols!

Haven't watch the Heisman trophy presentation since Peyton got screwed over. Best of luck to Hendon but I just can't bring myself to care. Wish I could

I feel you with all of that -- especially the best wishes. It's good for the entire program that he's even in the discussion and not just Hendon Hooker.

It's also another feather in the proverbial coaching cap of Coach Heupel, the quarterback whisperer leading our team with the exciting offense complete with statistics that are nationally relevant. It's winning football that's fun to watch for all and not just Tennessee Volunteers fans.

(I wasn't happy that Johnny Majors finished only runner up to a player from a losing team or that Manning finished behind a defensive player either, but thankfully that's just the past where it can stay if we'll agree to let it.)

The fact is we have a player who is doing big things on the national stage in the here and now. I find that fun to watch and just because previous selections weren't favorable to deserving Tennessee players doesn't necessarily mean it will be that way this next season.

Go Vols!

Spencer Rattler's odds are INSANELY overstated. These oddsmakers have apparently never seen the kid play before.

If HH wins TN’s first heisman and avenges the Majors and Peyton fiascos he would be elevated to top 10 VFL status among the likes of Al Wilson, Reggie, Peyton, etc. it would justify a street named after him and a statue. He’s already popular but it would push him over the top. Ok maybe top 20. We’ve had some greats.

I am with you.on the Majors and Manning thing. Hornug (sp.?) played for media darling ND. Woodson was a DB in a run league who had a total of about 5 good plays all year and all 5 were on TV. Did I mention he played for media darling Michigan? Woodson had a great pro career but nothing like Peyton’s was.

Political pop award. But, what's crazy is that HH has no chance regardless. Nowadays you have to be on a top team to win it anyway. I'll submit to being wrong, but top.we.aint yet.

Vegas published the factual statistical odds so obviously there is a specific chance. With that corrected and out of the way, the key is to support Hooker's Heisman candidacy and realize it's a good look for the program, recruiting, team, etc. Any of us can easily regurgitate the old obvious cynical Pavlov's dinner bell response when Heisman talk comes up around here like a cow chewing its cud, but Hooker's possibly the most legit candidate since Dobbs and is worthy of the praise he has earned just being in contention so far.

He wouldn't become #1?

I wonder if Heupel loaded up so much on WRs because he wants to make the Hook a bona fide Heisman candidate. Thus, further kick-start getting more coveted recruits coming to the UT? A roundabout, maybe crazy way to bring the Vols back to prominence, but who knows, it might work. On the other hand, you all know I'm not just off my rocker, but under it as well.
