Make no mistake, this is not about George Floyd (but it should be), it is about free TV's, free drugs, free jewelry, beer, tennis shoes and any other material thing the heart desires, but is too lazy to work for. (See Ferguson, MO, Baltimore, MD, Los Angeles, CA.) Most unfortunately, President Trump is absolutely right, "when the looting starts, the shooting starts". This is sad but true.

Yep, you got your groups that are peaceful and want change and are out for the proper reasons exercising their freedom to protest.......and you got others who really don't care ultimately and use it as an opportunity to damage, loot, and cause destruction. The last reason just makes things worse.

I think what we have found out is the ladder groups are waiting to mix with the peaceful groups. Extend the protest and cause mass chaos especially in young led protests where often the goal is dubious.

His responses are divisive. Makes it worse. Rep or Democrats meeting a group that feels unnecessary violence against them is already at play, then saying you'll shoot them. It doesn't help. I said maga because the comment i responded to was interpreted by me as a sarcastic quote that sounded like something our president would tweet.

But calling for acts of violence against police and promoting terror isn’t?

Before this goes one way or another we’ll never agree so have a good day

President Trump is correct but it probably should not have been said because of the powder keg waiting to be lit. We saw media and many liberals, not all, immediately weaponize his words.

Personally, I don't give a flip which side of this issue you are on. This kind of crap is not "protest" or "a cry of the voiceless." It is barbarism, pure and simple.

College Football Hall of Fame damaged, looted during protests in Atlanta

Note that there are several Tennessee players and coaches enshrined there. Neyland, Johnny Majors (player and coach), and Philip Fulmer, are there just to name a few.

We visited the museum back when it was in South Bend.

Move it to Nashville, Knoxville or Omaha and that crap won't happen again!

Those morons are just chasing away tourists with deep pockets. More inner-city jobs lost. Another shoot yourself in the foot moment.

What the hell does make America great again have to do with it?

no, wait, I’m sure this is trumps fault in your eyes.
No need to remind you that Obama started the devide in the country.
Here we go again, and again, and again....

It doesn't really matter what Trump says, a segment of the population will always have the same predictable, hysterical, unhinged reaction. They still can't get over losing the last election and they're determined to try to make the rest of the world as miserable as they are.

Ah the classic "but but...obama" post.

Yeah, politics suck. This really should NOT be a political issue, IMO. Peaceful protesting is fine and an important right that all free people should support. Violence, property damage and looting are illegal and should not be tolerated. Unfortunately, politics seems to be a facet of just about everything these days.

It's not odd. Happens all time. You must be young, naive, or a maga. If cops cant understand that in today's world you cant be stupid regardless of white or black then something is wrong.
I don't care at all which side of the issue you are on. I personally can't see any justification for the methods used by the police involved that led to the death at all. NO reason to keep the knee on his neck while handcuffed for that long. That being said, it does not in ANY way justify the reaction both in Minneapolis and around the world. The supporters of the thuggish activity by the people who are looting and burning without regard for the lives they are damaging are dead wrong. Violence does not ever solve the issue. It just ferments and continues to fester. What justice do they want? What justice is being given by destroying businesses? How many of those businesses are owned or managed by members of the same black community that are screaming for "justice"? Do their lives not matter as well? Do ALL lives not "matter" equally? Black, Hispanic, Native American, Indian, Asian and yes white!?

One last thing: The intelligence of a mob is inversely proportional to the number of people in it.

I’ll never understand how burning down x,y, or z will fix anything.

Then the doctor comes out and says he has pre existing conditions and was loaded at the time. It ain’t gonna get any better.

It still doesn't look good that a white cop knelt on a lifeless body for 3 minutes post death. It's a symbol of what af am believe to be a common theme. Take in the last month, 3 af am died for no reason. I think it's been built up. And freaking chauvins smirk of just grinding down on dudes neck was a tipping point.

I agree with you. However, I dont think the President trying to fight violence by threatening more violence is the right course of action.

It's odd that more White men get killed by cops than black men. Get your facts straight and check your virtue signaling.

Pure ignorance on your part bro.

Racial patterns

A database collected by The Guardian concluded that 1093 people in 2016 were killed by the police. The rate of fatal police shootings per million was 10.13 for Native Americans, 6.6 for Black people, 3.23 for Hispanics; 2.9 for White people and 1.17 for Asians. The database showed by total that white people, who make up 62% of the US population, were most frequently killed by police than any other race or ethnicity. According to the Washington Post database of police shootings, African Americans are 2.5 times as likely to be killed by a police officer than white people.[31][32] A 2015 study found that unarmed blacks were 3.49 times more likely to be shot by police than were unarmed whites.[33] Another study published in 2016 concluded that the mortality rate of legal interventions among Black and Hispanic people was 2.8 and 1.7 times higher than that among White people. Another 2015 study concluded that black people were 2.8 times more likely to be killed by police than whites. They also concluded that black people were more likely to be unarmed than white people who were in turn more likely to be unarmed than Hispanic people shot by the police.[34][35] A 2018 study in the American Journal of Public Health found the mortality rate by police per 100,000 was 1.9 to 2.4 for black men, 0.8 to 1.2 for Hispanic men and 0.6 to 0.7 for white men.[36]

Lots of sources are citing ANTIFA as the actual trouble makers, organizing in weakly-led cities around the country to turn peaceful protests into riots. There are many ways for our enemies to destroy this nation. Stoking internal divisions (when thoughtful citizens on the left and right are in agreement) works as well as anything.

Black Lives Matter holds a peaceful protest. ANTIFA, street gangs show up. Black Lives Matter pushed out of their own protests. Riots happen. BLM gets blamed. Don't fall for it. Tonight is NOT Black Lives Matter It's white ANTIFA thugs and street gangs.

What we seen across the nation with cities and communities being harmed was multiple races.

And of those how many were legitimate justified shootings? Might want to dig a little deeper
