You can call a bs flag if you wish, but it all happened.

Obviously this isn't a "Butch issue" or something he really needs to be concerning his time with, but I feel like he is the only figure that is respected enough by the perpetrators in order to make a difference.

Why are so many guys throwing bs around on this forum? I don't believe everything I read on here but when I hear it and heard many times and people saying it happen I tend to believe that..

I believe guys that do this are the crap stirring crowd on here and loves to see conflict...

It sounds like these kids are taking the "I will give my all for Tennessee" to the next level.

I'm throwing the BS flag. Take a partially filled bottle of water and throw it at a distance of 10 to 30 yards at any object of your choice and see if it "explodes". As far as drunk college kids, you may not like it but it has been happening since the University received its land grant. Sit on the West sidelines with the blue hairs.

Yeah that is probably an exaggeration, but at select games home and away, basketball, and even baseball I have witnessed things being thrown from individuals in the direction of players. Sucks, but that is how some of our society want to vent their frustration.

Anyone complaining about the student section needs a reality check. You ***** about us not showing up. You ***** when we don't cheer loud enough. You ***** when we don't care. We finally care and now, you're *****ing. Get out of here man. At least we cheer, unlike a large chunk of other vol fans. And trust me, I've sat just about everywhere in that stadium to know.

It happened against Vanderbilt last year. That game was my last as a student at the University of Tennessee, and part of me wished I could partake, but I held myself back. Senior night can be a very emotional time for those whose game will be their last as a student.

Not saying it was seniors doing this for that reason, but it is how I felt last year.

Disgusting is a little strong from my vantage point. I was in sec A w/ many of the mizzou fans (married to one & live in KC). I did see a couple of plastic bottles tossed after the onside kick debacle. We could have been more classy but it was the emotional peak of the game and that whole situation was botched by the refs.

It's a sad commentary on society when such as the topic of the original post is explained away as " it's just what drunk college students do". Pathetic!

First let me start off by saying that I am a student. Not sure if anyone noticed or saw, but towards the very end of the game last night many, many bottles and other objects were thrown onto the field towards the Missouri bench. It was pretty ugly. A couple players were hit, including one with a half full bottle of water, which exploded on impact. This caused the Missouri bench to turn and begin to mock our students, which they had every right to do. A just punishment imo would be if every imbecile who threw something had to line up at midfield and received a punch to the face from the Missouri player who was hit, number 56 I believe. The student section has been a disaster all year. From all of the "F you *Insert team*" at the end of every loss to the countless drunk-beyond-ability-to-function kids falling ovyer themselves as they "cheer" on their Vols. These actions need addressing and not just via a email from Jimmy Cheek which everyone will just mark as read and move on. I truly believe Butch needs to address the student body in its entirety on these matters.

Yea they are a bunch of mouthy punks that need a good ass kicking.. Spoiled little brats.

I took my son to his first game VS MTSU in 1994 and we had four drunk students in front of us standing on their seats. My son at 9 years old couldn't see, heck I couldn't see but I liked standing also, except we stood on the concrete ,not the actual seat. I asked nicely the first three times until I got the F you in front of my son.I promptly put the guy on his butt and the usher which I had known for 25 years (had the season tix that long) came and escorted the drunks out. I e- mailed Hamilton and he moved my seats to the opposite side of the field and when I got my tix app in 2005 it was right back where I was, needless to say I dropped my season tix and have been to three spring games and the Music city bowl since. But still VFL !!

I am always reminded of the official that was knocked out by a Whiskey bottle in West Virgina.
