So, 11 days ago, Jenkins said “I truly love it here, so that’s why I decided to stay.” Now, he’s reportedly in the portal.

I hope he ends up staying but I’m guessing probably won’t. He was a lower rated recruit, who the staff identified, and it seemed like he was in for a potential breakout year. For whatever reason those hurt the most to me…similar to Tobe Awaka.

Agree. But also, I hope this isn’t a case of wanting more NIL money, because this dude has absolutely zero market value. I of course wish him the best, and I imagine he’s gonna play in a less competitive conference for a weaker team.

Everyone wants to play so it’s hard to keep guys who aren’t in the rotation. Hopefully we can keep most of the young guys because we’re gonna lose a lot off the DL after this season.
